Vune after checking around and finding no one else, moves back up the stairs then into the next floor. She see's 3 different paths, one goes into a shallow pool, another goes into a pleasant looking garden and the third goes into a room filled with fire and blades. She thinks back to what Rhena told her and looks to the fire room.

Well, she said go in the most dangerous path each time. Pretty sure that would be this one.

Vune confidently walks into it, feeling no pain or discomfort and just moves through the flames and blades, finding them all to be illusions. She figures the other 2 paths were actually far deadlier, and simply made to look pleasant. She makes a mental note to borrow this trick for her own home later, as she shouts back

It's safe, the flames and blades aren't real.

havn't watched the remake of IT, so I wouldn't know if it had a similar scene or not, regardless if it did it's coincidental.

In the next room, a very large host of more Dag rush forward, eager to fight, one being a witchdoctor points to Flint, and shouts a command.

Lucifer, you risk breaking our deal by coming here in this man, slaughtering us and trying to seize our lands, take him, and begone.

Flint is immediately ripped away from the land, and dragged far away. As a dark voice whispers into his head.

My deal with them is more valuable them my deal with you. You will not return there to fight them again.

As the last word 'begone' exits the mouth of the witch doctor, a steel tipped arrow finds its way through the rotten teeth and exits the back of the head.

Jack kills two more with his pistols. He draws his sword as his men fire a volley and then go for their swords

The witch doctor's wound heals up as he glares at the woman. And he points at her next and shouts with a wicked grin

Aloeth finds her hair quickly wrap around her neck and start strangling her, as Brian quickly rushes forward and begins smashing the witchdoctor's head in, Carl and Emily covering his flanks from the other dag.

Jack pulls out a dirk and cuts aloeth's hair

As Aloeth begins to choke on her own hair, her men get furious. They seethe and boil, but not too much, keeping themselves in a controlled anger as they begin to wail on the Dag in their efforts to get to the man responsible for harming their captain. She drops her bow and fights her hair, trying to keep her wits about her. She sees the glint of a blade coming towards her and she grabs Jack's hand as it reaches towards her hair.

**cough** That be....**sputter** the last thing **wheeze** I be wantin'.

Her eyes begin to show signs of petechia as she rolls them into the back of her head and her body goes limp.
