Emily shakes her head

The amount of idiocy and foolishness you possess is legendary. You say we blabber on? Funny given how your like a pathetic puppy coming around bugging us constantly. None of us have need of you, and honestly none of us WANT you here. But your life is so pathetic that you have nothing better to do then bother us.

She stares him straight in the eyes

You, are nothing more then an old decrepit pathetic bag of bones. You were so pathetic in fact that after Ellen called you such, you went and sold you soul to lucifer-my god how that is just pitiful.

Emily shapes her self into Flint' and mimicks his voice as he cries

Oh, that mean ghost told me im pathetic, vune and zephyra want nothing to do with me on account of I am a drunkard who walked out on them, I know I should go and sell me soul for power so that Vune and Zeph will love me again-even though neither ever did love me at all given how I abandoned them both.

She shifts back to normal before looking at him again

Say what you want about me, or my family-but all of us have accomplished everything on our own, or with eachothers help. None of us needed to go and borrow power from another like you did. And I can also say that none of us abandoned our children to run off to drink and fight like a bum.

Vune just sighs and gets up

She's right you know flint. There's nothing more pathetic in my eyes then someone who sells their soul for power. Regardless don't badmouth any of my family flint-your easily one of the most pitiful men in existence and you won't like our responses. We have no need for you, if you want to fight with us fine, but don't talk to any of us or interfere with our works-if Emily wanted that man to live on with fake limbs and no magic then that's what should have happened to him-you did her a disservice interfering like you did, then acting as if you did her a favor.

And also, i do not recall inviting you to this dinner or meeting. You have a bad habit of popping in uninvited, so do us a favor and leave please, we were having a nice dinner and conversation before you barged in.

james opens his eyes

Well, it's good the Dag don't have strong ships. At least comparatively to ours.

Emily nods to James

Yes, it is good we are hitting them sooner rather then later. Given enough time, they would amass a large force of strong ships, the Dag breed like rabbits honestly, it is fortunate the other 3 tribes nearby keep them contained in this region. Which does remind me, after the battle it might be nice to visit the other tribes to see how those missionaries Jack sent are doing.

Jack says

I got their dispatches they're doing fine. The first one we sent is immensely successful.

Aloeth watches the exchange of insults pass back and forth, then grins to herself as James appears to be the only one focused on the mission.

Alrighty, now. It appears that we be not talkin' about how to win this battle, but on a scorned lover and the women he be wantin' in his life. T'was a clear message that they dinna want you back, Flint. And ladies, it appears he be wantin' ta stay whether or not ye be wantin' it. Best shut yer traps in this matter so ye don't be pushin' him over to the wrong side of the battle. We all be wantin' to stay alive in this, so focus, damnit.

She then sits forward, leaning towards James:

Now, we gots 50-60 ships, they gots 40-50 ships. They be inferior ships, but with a multitude of bodies, prolly more'n ours. So, we best needs be takin' them in the water and not botherin' with boardin'. Put yer cannons to the waterline and grapeshot their masts, just ta leave'em floatin' aimlessly in tha water. Quickest way I can think to take'em out and get our ladies in to see their fight. Savvy?

Jack and James look confused

I think you mean chainshot. But I think their ships carry no more men than ours, and if we put up our 24 pounders to good use we probably won't need to board. But boarding is certainly a possibility.

Aloeth nods, allowing James his expertise:

Chain, grape....same difference. Ye knew what I was gettin' at. The more ships we disable, to more likely we be survivin' this.

Vune just turns to Aloeth

It's not like i can just ignore it when someone barges into a dinner meeting and pretend that he ain't there. I didn't invite Flint in the first place because i was confident if he was here it would devolve into a petty squablle between him and my family like it just did-but he has the bad habit of going where he isn't wanted. Regardless if he went to the other side of battle it wouldn't change anything-we will still win, i have tricks up my sleeve if things go too far south.

But back on to the plan.

The force that hit's the stronghold where the enemy lies will need to consist of me, moppet, imp, and a small squad of strong reliable fighters. Jack and Carl would both be useful for that. Aloeth you might be more useful outside of the fort, unless your good at using a bow in closed quarters-I know it isn't the easiest thing to do after all.

And I think the young lady is implying they have more men on land then we have on our ships. Which is most definitely true-there are many who will be on the island, but we need only to break into the fort and we can escape their hordes.

Aloeth holds up her hands, palm out, placating fashion:

Aye, t'is difficult ta use a bow in close quarters. S'why I be skilled in me blades. And I ain't be intendin' on gettin' yer fumes directed at me. Was jus' tryin' ta get us back on track and gettin' this thing solved. I can blow down that gate and then hold it with me and my men. I got's me own tricks up my sleeves. Yer forces jus' needs be tough enough to take the fort by your lonesome.

She then turns back to James:

And what, praytell, be plan number two?
