The fleet finally departs and begins sailing toward the far off island where their enemies wait for them. Zeph harnesses her magic to speed the ships along, while Vune, Veera and Emily mostly nap, talk, and plan for the encounter. Carl stands solemnly at the helm of his ship staring into the horizon. Around after a day of sailing off in the distance Vune invites some of the other captains and hired hands to her ship for a nice dinner and to discuss the battle strategy after she received some intel ahead of time. She waits in a small dining area on her Man of war for Jack, Aloeth and Carl to arrive.

Aloeth arrives on the Man 'o' War wearing clean silks, this time. The shirt is red and loose, and the pants are again black and loose. The same pair of matched rapiers are on her hips even though she's supposedly safe here, but one can't be too careful. She heads into the dining area on the MoW, and greets Vune warmly, handing her what looks to be a small leather jeweler's pouch.

Good evenin', Vune. Me hopes are the winds are bein' favorable. That's fer after dinner, and ye can share if'n ye wants to. It be some shaved chocolate. Oh, and ye've mentioned that yer tryin' to save yer energies fer this upcomin' battle, but are we in a hurry to get there? If Zeph keeps on usin' her energy to speed up our ships, she won't be as useful in the fight, right? Jus' a thought. S'where ya wantin' me to sit?

Aloeth sits in whatever indicated chair after flipping the it around and sitting in it backwards, her arms over the back of the chair. An easy getaway.

Vune simply chuckles

Zephyra won't be involved in the main fight against Agrat. She has very little experience fighting other mages and quite honestly would get in me, Emily, and Veeras way if she fought with us. She will be helping against the mooks however, and she won't need to be fully rested to help with them. To be completely honest though, I believe the 3 of us are overkill against Agrat, as I am fairly certain that I alone could beat her 1 on 1-but I haven't lived to the ripe old age I'm at now by doing things I was only "fairly certain" sure I could do. Regardless when Jack and Carl show up we may eat and begin discussing battle plans. Until then I suppose we can chat.

Carl shows up and takes a seat as Emily and Veera begin chatting with eachother.

Jack and James enter in and remove their hats. The only weapons they wear are swords and they sit down with no trouble despite them .

Vune nods and has some golems come and deliver the meal-a rather strange one, consisting of some weird meat, mushrooms, and lichen, along with several bottles of wine, all of a brand Helvune, with a few different flavors. Emily and Veera both just start eating, Carl pokes the food a bit before eating as well, finding it to taste very weird, but not bad. Veera just chuckles a little.

Yeah, our family spend a loooooot of time living in our lairs, which are normally in caves, so we normally eat stuff we can grow or find in those caves. You get used to it honestly. As for the wines, I recommend you all drink the Black one. The white one is absolutely rancid, and the crimson has some side effects on most people. Once your done eating we can discuss strategies.

They start eating. James asks:

So how long has your family been making wine? Mine has been making rum since it was first discovered.

Vune laughs

It's actually a sort of old mage tradition of sorts. You see wine has been used in certain rituals and magics, and so it's sort of a mark of renown and honor for a mage to make a wine bearing their name or crest. Everyone in my family aside from Zephyra has made their own brand so far. I made Helvune Blue, my sister made Helvune Red, Veera made black, and Emily made white. There's also a few brands we made working together with eachother-like crimson and gold. Crimson being my personal favorite.

The mages finish eating, and Vune just nods to the others

Regardless, once you had your fill, we should discuss strategies. I got some reports back from my spies, we should arrive within another day thanks to Zephyra, so we should plan now while we have time.

Aloeth tries a sampling of each of the dishes on the table, other than the mushrooms, muttering something about fungus. She pours a bit of all three wines in a mug, swirls it around, and sips on that throughout the meal. She's not chatty, but she does converse easily if she's brought into conversations. Almost like she's gauging her companions.
