Veera just shouts angrily as she looks up from a large collection of notes and papers.

Only about 10. Most are stationed in points along the strait. Now get lost, we have our own problem, and ours takes precedence.

Veera uses magic to throw him out and slam the door shut. Emily shouts to him

Sorry, she's a bit cranky over the fact she thinks all 3 of us are dead. Good luck.

Carl waits around for Jack to return to discuss the plan, while Emily and her family sit around discussing their own, all 3 look upset and worried.

Carl nods to him

SO what's the plan Jack, how do we go about this. We have the ships that we could just use brute force to beat them all, but that would be damaging to us also. We could try to sneak a fleet to go around and attack from behind but that would take quite some time.

Jack takes off his hat

Well, this will most certainly take some strategy. Veera said they were in packets near the strait, I got a smidge of information from an informant, or rather a couple bits of information. First, the ships are in masses of ten, of these there are four. And there is a large land force. What this will require, is a ton of large merchantmen and fifty of our best ships.

Carl nods

So, where are we going to get all these large merchantmen? We do need to be careful Jack, if we piss off the neighboring ports or nations too much, we might end up provoking an attack from them, and that would make this battle from hard to harder. It might also motivate them to build the forts themselves just to spite us. We also need to try to capture a few of these guys and see if they know where Brian is.

Jack smiles

Well, rather conveniently, one of the pirate lords brought in around a hundred and fifty large merchantmen, they've taken all the cargo out, a massive amount of gold. He has given the ships to me to use for this plan.

Carl nods

Okay then. So, are we using these as fire ships then, or something else.

Jack nods

Aye. In two days time, these ships, each part of the fleet will be expecting stores from 25 large merchantmen. The real shipment will never reach its destination. Instead, these merchantmen will sail over to their fleet, and at the last second, the crew will ditch them and they will be set alight. They will sail into the unsuspecting fleet, whilst a company of our ships fires on their fleet. We'll be in range of firing, but they won't be able to see us. If this works, the ships will be destroyed, or too damaged to sail.
