RP- Port Battle for the Strait

The fleet heads out immediately, Thorokas providing 7 first rates, 8 seconds 10 thirds and the rest being a mixture of 4ths and 5ths. Their 40 ships, plus the 31 from Jack and his allies should be more then enough to crush the 50 ship fleet. They begin heading to the strait and once there, the Admiral leaves 5 of his first rates, all his seconds and 2 thirds to hold a final line of defense, the rest moving further into the strait to battle.

Jack stands on the flagship, looking around for the enemy. Once they are spotted, he says:

All ships, prepare for battle.

The guns are run out on each ship on the starboard side, as the enemy ships are in a line with their bows pointing away from them.

The enemy ships immediately form a battle line, and begin firing nonstop, focusing fire on the larger ships facing them, a few bomb ships fire several explosive shells from mortars, causing massive damage while staying behind the larger ship of the lines as they continually fire their mortars from relative safety. The admiral's forces being mostly smaller then Jack's do not form a line but begin attempting to sail around the enemy ships and fire from their stern's and bows. The battle is heated as both sides fire continuously.

Jack's ships fire accurately and quickly, getting broadsides off very fast. Splinters fly, spars fall, and rigging tears.

jack, can you please be more specific. I am not a mind reader, what about the ships? Is it how many there are? What types they are? What they are doing? I can't explain something if I don't know what you want explained, and I would rather not type paragraph long explanations to cover every detail.

Right, forgive me. I'm a bit confused as to where they are.

okay, so let's say for simplicity sake this fight is happening in the middle of the strait.

The enemy ships, currently have a line of battle formed, directly opposed to a line of battle you formed. So imagine 2 lines in the strait. Behind their ships they have bomb ships firing mortars over their line, using their line as cover while they bomb your fleet from behind them. Now, the ships from Thorokas, are currently trying to sail around the enemy line, aiming to get behind and hit the bomber ships, while also blasting the bow and stern of the enemy line.
