For multiple trade routes, we will need to rewrite the code. It is certainly among our priorities. If anyone has played Rail Road Tycoon II, this is how we want to create it. We can prioritize this as it will help with the interface upgrade of
the game that we also need.

Back to development update, we are in very good track right now. We are still in the testing stage where we are tweaking our base formulas that string all functionalities together.

CJ there is no cloth resource. Did you mean cotton?

Updates:
-Rental payup system has changed once again.
We eventually had to make it per plantation in order to calculate the nation rent fees fairly. With the new system, all payment ease perks are maintained and should not add any additional burden even to someone controlling the maximum of 21 plantations. The interface is so straighforward for rental, that you should just wait and see it before asking further questions on it.

-We have removed a functionality: Worker Assignments
We ended up that this is a functionality with added overhead in terms of difficulty/management that will not really pay off or make the feature more appealing. So we removed it.

-We have nearly completed all relevant formulas
A few details need to be ironed out and this is all we have left to do. We are giving ourselves a fair deal of time to conclude this as this has proven a very demanding part of the feature.

Even though the events system will not debut with beta, the functionality of this system will be mostly present. So, while you will not get any events during the beta, your management affects will remain with the plantation. So once the system is introduced, your prior management will be remembered. Consider this as a perk actually as you will avoid any bad events due to bad management, early on. There is also a chance we will reset bad management before final release but this will only happen if something went wrong when testing the system (in closed beta for us).

21 plantations? Did I miss a change? I thought plantations were limited to only certain goods and only available in ports that produced those goods?

Eventually, all ports will get 1 plantation each. There will be slight differences in names (ie, Aiora will get Sawmills) but also in functionality (although we might skip this eventually).

The plan is that once Plantations are fully released, each port will have their own production at their own hands. Population consumption will follow and then port buildings. This means that soon enough, the whole port economy will pass to your hands, as players.

CJ, did you decide on the bidding timeline? Is it 24 hours for response from governor? or time to reset plus 24 hour?
