Jack orders some men from each group, more than enough to hold the place, under the command of Jack's bosun, a fourty year old sailor with a scar going across his eye. He says his name is Jim. He looks to the men on shore and says in a salty voice

Get yerselves ready me boys, make a barrier!

The sailors quickly find something's that they can hid behind and shoot over, a barrier. Jack let's them have two twelve pounder long guns. Jack commands the ships to sail out, Jack's ship sails up to the enemy vessels, firing accurate, angry, rolling broadsides doing heavy damage to the enemy, Jack's well trained gun crews fire a broadside every 1 minute and thirty seconds, doing so much damage to the enemy ship that it explodes. Jack's ships continue firing at the next enemy, the enemy cannon having little effect regardless of what ship it's being fired from, as their guns are weaker and much smaller. Jack's bosun on shore helps the men fire the two twelve pounders at the oncoming farmers, sending grapeshot through their ranks, ripping men apart and harming their ranks by a staggering degree. He also helps everyone keep up a steady rate of musket fire, doing even more damage.

A loud roar is heard, and the Dag quickly begin smiling as the fight goes on as they begin to chant, Soon, Jack's men realize with horror, that the dead Dag are getting back up, and suddenly from beneath the ground of Jim and his men, baby sized goblin like monsters quickly come crawling out, leaping onto the men and attacking them, a few quickly ignite the powder reserves, causing massive explosions, distracted by these tiny terrors, the living Dag close the distance, and begin slaughtering Jim's men, with brutal ferocity. In the sea, the Dag dead in the water quickly begin moving again, diving beneath the waves before launching upward onto the decks, pinning the men and ripping into them with swords, the remaining ships quickly slamming into the sides and boarding them, a few of the Dags shouting that Jack will taste delicious once roasted. Zephyra looks at all this happening and shouts as she begins blasting away with winds.

I think they got some witch doctors.

Burt, in the chaos quickly snatches the whistle from jack, cuts off both of his own ears and swallows the whistle, then he grabs a nearby pistol and fires it into a nearby powder bag, igniting it and destroying a cannon and killing some men before turning back to Jack and roaring in defiance.

I told you-Id sooner DIE then follow another. You think you can control me with your whistle and toys? You can drag me around all you want and do whatever you want to me-I will always find a way to defy you.

Jack stabs Burt through the neck, his blood spills everywhere, he makes a gurgling sound and dies. Jack's men fight back, viciously hacking, stabbing and shooting their enemies. Michael runs around with a cutlass in each hand, cutting down ten enemies in three minutes, he shouts:.

Come on boys, fight them, hold nothing back, rip them apart!

Jack's men fight with even more ferocity now, blood covers the decks in pools, more and more of the enemy die brutal fashion, one having his face clubbed in with a pistol. Jack looks to zephyra

Try to get rid of the witch doctors if you can! We'll never win if we can't get rid of them, I'm counting on you zephyra.

Jack beheads a man with a single stroke then he takes some men down bellow. They load the cannons on both sides slowly and fire into the enemy ships at point blank range, causing an extreme amount of damage. They are so damaged, that it looks as if the enemy ship's deck could cave in. Jack and the men go back up and continue fighting with brutal ferocity. On shore, Jim looks to Brian.

Come on mate, let's charge em.

Jim draws his sword and and his remaining men charge forward, slaughtering anything and everything in their path. They also fire their muskets and some continue firing th cannon, killing the enemy.

Zephyra looks out into the battlefield scanning it for witchdoctors while muttering to herself what the other mages in her family would do. In her head she pictures Veera laughing and teleporting away, Her mother simply incinerating the entire enemy army, and Emily having golems smash the enemies to pulp. Having finished thinking what they would do she mutters to herself

Well that didn't help. But if there are witch doctors using magic they need to be somewhere nearby. Somewhere they can see, but not be in immediate danger.

She quickly stretches out her robes as she begins flying over the battlefield, looking around frantically, passing the area Brian and Jim are fighting, she recognizes what those small goblin like creatures are. She gets close enough to shout to the men down there.

Those baby like monsters Tiyanak- and are essentially vengeful baby corpses-a good way to get rid of them is to give them a name.

She focuses on one, and tells it she names it George, and it stops fighting as it finds peace. She continues flying over the battlefield when she spots several figures over on a nearby hill, she flies to them blasting them back, the dead finally staying dead, though the babies continue leaping and attacking, until given names.

the men on shore start naming the corpses. Jack's men continue to fight, killing their enemies with extreme ferocity, the enemy ranks begin thinning considerably because although they're good, they're not as desperate as Jack's men. The
Enemy ranks continue to get thinner and thinner, jack and michael run about killing whatever they can. Thirty minutes of brutal combat later, only thirteen enemies remain. Jack looks to zephyra.

She nods

Your welcome. I only managed to kill one of the witch doctors though-the others got away. We should probably try to get away from this place as soon as possible. The dag are very dangerous-they seem to have no fear of dying. What I don't get is how they have so many men and women willing to die fighting. They should have wiped themselves out by now acting in such a way.

A huge crack opens in the ground, as hellish flames come pouring out, as Vune leaps out of it and closes it shut. Her robes are rather tattered, and her mask broken but she looks fine otherwise. She looks around and nods to Jack

I see you've fought some Dag. I finished my little adventure down below. Didn't find what I wanted. That leaves 3 places to check. So how did that necklace work on that Burt fellow?

Jack looks to the captured dag people, then to vune

Badly, I ended up killing him, he acted foolishly to the end.

Jack looks to his ship and the extreme damage that it's taken, the blood on the decks, some dismounted guns

What a mess. I don't suppose there are more ships coming to meet us?

Jack looks to his lieutenant

Set sail and begin making repairs, and clean up this bloody mess.

wasn't his name greg?

No, it was Burt. don't know where you got Greg from.

Vune looks to the Dag people and then says to Jack

You should probably let them go, or kill them and dump them overboard. The Dag have some nasty witch doctors and some less then pleasant allies. They can track their missing men-dead or alive-if you keep these people on your ships, the Dag will not rest until they find them.

As for more ships coming to meet you I have good news, and bad news and some more bad news, the first bad news is that I am afraid the second expedition I had sent out, had a touch of bad luck and was hit by some vicious pirates shortly after departing. No survivors. The good news is I managed to get a third fleet sent to help you.

In the distance several ships are coming, they look like large frigates with heavy cannons. They sail a flag with a mask on it. It's the Une people. Vune turns to Jack

The other bad news is I could only get the Une to come help. They are bringing plenty of tools and supplies to help rebuild and repair any damage, and, are willing to help you on the rest of the expedition if you want. If not, they will leave you the supplies and head home.

Jack sighs

Oh bugger. Well, they can tag along, but they need to keep their masks on, obey orders, and no eating people, even enemies. Regardless of who they are I find that that's cruel and unusual. Thank you for helping though. We may have a service in awhile if Michael isn't too tired.

Vune laughs a little as she looks to Jack

You realize that the Dag actually are cannibals themselves right? They eat their enemies and even their own dead if hungry enough. Just one of many disgusting practices of theirs.

Carl thinks back as he looks to Jack

Yeah, didn't they shout when attacking us that you'd taste great roasted Jack?

A nearby Spaniard shouts

Aye, I heard it too.

Vune just shrugs as she looks to the Une coming

But ultimately, im not the one you need to tell that to Jack. I got the Une to come help, but if they don't want to agree to those terms, I won't force them too. You should probably meet with the leader of their fleet. It's up the them if they want to continue helping under those conditions.
