Jack picks up one of the books and opens it.

The book is incomprehensible. The language is something Jack has never seen before, and the words occasionally move around, and change. Vune calls back

Oh yeah, mages typically enchant their books and notes to keep people from reading them. Zephyra should be able to fix that.

Zephyra walks over, grabs the book, mutters a bit, and hands it back. It appears to be a cookbook. The page seems to be describing how to make rum from fish. Zeph begins going through the books, disenchanting them, and sighing in disappointment after checking them. She mumbles to herself as she gives up and examines the art.

So many books, yet they are all just cookbooks, cleaning tips, and fashion notes.

Jack's yes go wide at this?

Rum from fish....rum...from fish...

Vune thinks for a moment and calls back

I think i recall my sister talking about that once. She thought she could make a fortune if she made fish rum, and i guess she figured out how to do it. You can copy that recipe if you want it. I hate rum honestly, i much prefer a nice wine. There should be some blank paper and pens on the desks.

Brian see's a nearby chest, and opens it up, he shouts to Jack as he takes out a bottle labelled fish rum.

Hey, i found some of the stuff.

He takes a drink of it, and hands it to Jack

Tastes okay. A bit salty though.

Vune's nearly finished removing the last barrier as she shouts back

Just don't get drunk. This place has laws against public drunkenness.

Jack pours himself some and drinks it, visibly enjoying it

This is rather good, i think I may have to copy the recipe

Vune finally clears the last barrier and goes up the stairs, Zephyra goes ahead and copies the recipe for Jack and hands it to him and goes up, along with Brian and Carl.

The 4th floor, appears to be a lab. Various bottles and beakers are all over the place, along with some more books. A large crystal is in the middle of the room, along with runes and symbols on the floor. A large giant sized door is nearby, with no handles, and has quite a few runes on it. Vune goes over and touches the crystal, and it shows an image of the island. A moment later it shows Valorim island, then it darkens as Vune steps away and looks to the large door, and begins opening up the next staircase as she talks

A seer crystal, a gate, and a bunch of equipment. Wonder what she was working on. Should check the notes sometime later.

Zephyra looks at the equipment, and its rather dusty. She looks to Jack and gestures to the crystal.

Wanna use it? Just touch it and think of what you want to look at.

She touches it, and it shows Jack's ship, then the priest studying in the hovel, then it darkens as she stops using it.

jack touches it for a good twenty minutes. During this time, he makes several facial expressions, blank, smiling, grinning and at the end, he looks angry.

What the?! Who the blazes is on my ship?

Brian looks to him and shrugs

Don't know. Which ship are they on? What do they look like? What are they doing?

Vune looks a bit confused, then responds

Perhaps one of the natives decided to inspect your ship, and talk to your men. Is it a human? Or one of the other races?

Zephyra inspects the gate, and touches it, it feels freezing cold, and burning hot. She calls to her mother

What is the purpose of this thing? Don't you have one in your lair too?

Vune nods as she responds

It serves as a way to go to other planes. So it can open up a gate to hell, oblivion, and other places. Please do not touch it. You might activate it and as i said-it can lead to some less then friendly places. Anyway, so what does the person on your ship look like?
