Well, if we don't find him on this expedition, you could ask Emily for help. Magic can be quite useful in tracking people down. Who knows, maybe he went off exploring where we are heading.

Jack gets up and orders a tankard of beer. He goes to a table and sits there, slowly drinking it.

Vune looks at a clock and sighs before calling to her daughter.

If more captains don't show up soon, I may need to round up some myself. Pretty sure I can get the governor to donate some.

She gets up and begins to head to the governor's mansion. Before she leaves she turns and calls out.

I do not recommend exploring without more men and ships, but if you wish to test your luck you can. And again I recommend you do not follow sweet scents. If you do, its going to be hell for me to rescue you.

She chuckles a bit as she exits. Zeph continues calling out.

Jack takes out an ivory pipe, puts some tabacco in it and lights it. He holds his beer in one hand and his long pipe in the other. He walks over to Zephyra

Aside from gangpressing men? Doubtful. And id rather not do that. Men forced to action tend to be disobedient-for good reason. If no one else volunteers, i have faith my mother can rope some more men into it. From what she told me, she has the local governor in her pocket. Don't know how, probably don't want to know, but thats how we got the free supplies, and if needed she can get him to send more men.

Jack calls to one of his men.

Tell the captains to prepare their vessels for sea.

The man nods and leaves.

Vune comes back with 6 men. She walks to Jack and points to them.

Got 6 more captains, frigate ships to join you. Ill try to get more ships to join you and catch up. Got plenty of other people in my pocket I can get to help.

Carl laughs

You really want this thing to succeed don't you.

Vune chuckles.

Honestly every ship and man could die on this trip for all I care-all that matters is my daughter gets some valuable experience. That being said-try not to die. And once more, remember-don't follow any sweet scents. Its literal hell to rescue people from that trap.
