Zephyra checks her board

6. Not many people have showed up yet. There's you, Brian, and 4 others. The 4 others are captains from nations looking for future port cities. What nation they are a part of, they chose not to tell.

Jack raises an eyebrow

Well, we should be able to tell by using their names. If it's a Spanish name, Spain, if it's an English name, England, if it's a name common in the IOM, they must be from the IOM, and so on and so on. What ship types? Galleon?

Zephyra chuckles before replying.

That would be fine, if we knew for sure they used their real name, but its not exactly hard to lie about names. Hell I've occasionally pretended to be my mother. Just put on a mask, call myself Vune and almost no one can tell the difference.

She takes out a white mask, stands next to her mother and mimics her voice perfectly. They look and sound exactly alike. Vune smacks Zephyra and she stumbles forward before nodding to Jack

See, it isn't hard to lie. But regardless, they all have frigates, and their names are Bob, Tom, Joe and Bill. But again, no telling if those are actual names or not.
They also have some cutters, about 3 each. I honestly don't care what nations they work for, since all they aim to do is scout, and not do any actual colonizing.
If you want to get them to spill what nations they work for, you can if you want, check the docks for them. I need to stay here and wait for more captains to sign up. Hoping to get 10 at least.

You can pick what nations the 4 are jack if you want, otherwise I intend to leave it vague.

I was legitimately very confused and surprised at what you just wrote until I realized you meant docks. At least I sincerely hope that was a typo, otherwise this rp is going in a very unexpected direction :D.

What she essentially meant was, the men were at the docks-he could go there and talk to the captains to see if he can tell where they are from by their accents, or get them to tell him the truth. These 4 captains are just NPC's-anyone can use them, and I don't intend to have them play too big a role-honestly I intend them to be there just to die against bad things frankly-don't get too attached :D You can have them be from wherever. I don't intend to speak for them though-they are just cannon fodder to me.

Not if I change his name (maybe)

Jack goes to his ship and calls all the captains, showing them the mask, proving he is admiral. He demands harshly that they tell him their names. They comply. He tells them about the dangers of the voyage, and all except one ar quiet cowardly about it. Hedismisses them back and walks over back to Zephyra .

They're names are Captain Bartolomé Alvarez, Captain James fisher, Captain Archibald Bonden, And Captain Willem Johnson. The first is obviously a Spaniard, the next two are Englashmen, and the last is a Dutchman. And I have to say, all except the Spaniard are complete and utter cowards.

Not going to lie, there will be some deaths. Figured id keep the bob joke going though. Had to throw in some npc's since I can't kill any of your characters, and I didn't want to wipe out your crews.

Zephyra just shrugs

Can't blame them. Those guys probably didn't have a choice in being sent out into the unknown. Its' far easier to be brave when your facing things you know and have faced before. For all we know, we might be sailing straight into the mouth of hell itself.

For just a split second, it sounds like Vune is chuckling, but she quickly calls out.

Such an imagination you have. Though, i will advise you not to follow sweet scents on your journey. Id rather not have to come save you, but i will if you end up in trouble.

Zephrya sighs as she calls out.

Any other captains wish to join the expedition? There are very large rewards and profit for those who do so.
