Agnar gets a crewmember to throw some sort of bag, and puts the ball shaped object into it. He then turns to Mikkel

Let's find Carl and Brian.

They begin to walk into the ruined port, weapons at hand

Brian and Carl see them and wave them over. Brian nods to them before speaking.

Good to see you guys. Me and Carl did a bit of asking around and studying. Seems like the bugs come in 3 main types. Big bulky red ones that blow themselves up and cause fires, small fast green ones that seem to go around spreading disease and brown clawed ones that slice and bite people. The red ones are pretty rare thankfully, and a good hit from an arrow or gun will blow them up from a distance. Just keep an eye out for them.

Seems like my throwing axes can be of use then.

Agnar grins

Well, we just got to find the lair, I got something which can deal with it.

[Jack Teach]

Jack and the priest exit the ship and find Brian and Carl

[Meliva]

Brian and Carl greet Jack and the priest, as they tell them where the bugs seem to be coming from. They wait for Jack and Agnar to gather some men to help with the assault before heading out. As they head to the lair, things seem very uneventful and quiet-a few bugs attack but that's about it. Some of the men think they hear a scratching sound, when suddenly a few dozen of the bugs come bursting out of the ground, ambushing the men, Carl quickly smashes one, while Brian hits the other. One of them is red as it detonates near a group of men, killing some and pushing others away. Some of the green ones begin spraying some sort of disgusting liquid from their mouths at some of the men, while the brown ones attempt to slash and bite the group.

Agnar shouts orders to his men

Surround the others and make a shield wall!

[Jack Teach]

Jack draws a pistol and blows one of their heads off.

Stand to!

The men inside the shield wall aim guns outside of it. They keep their flints away from the the shieldman's faces.

Fire!

They fire their muskets, killing a couple dozen bugs.

A blast of ice freezes several bugs, and also seals the hole shut

The remaining bugs quickly begin burrowing back underground, escaping from the battle. Brian looks around for where that blast came from though he continues heading to the lair of the bugs. Carl following right behind him.

Jack and his men advance, firing their guns into the cave.
