Jack fumes. He pulls out his sword, cursing Vune, he swings it around twice then jams it into the ground. Several sailors waking by stop, turn around and run away. He removes his coat. He then says in a solem voice.

This was a gift from my wife. Best damned garment I've ever owned, now it's ruined. Well...

He hands it to one of his men walking by.

Edward, get me some new clothes. See if you can't clean this up will you

The man nods respectfully

Aye aye sir.

The man hurries off. Jack turns to Brian with a smile on his face

No, I would not. I can clean myself up.

Jack looks around.

Fine city. It's a shame that I'm friends with the Isle of Man, otherwise I might just...take it.

Carl just looks to Jack before speaking

Mate, I can understand being mad about a gift from your wife getting ruined, but why the hell did wear it to a battle? I mean it was a bloody miracle it didn't get soaked in the first place.

Brian takes a quick look around before whispering to Jack in a cheeky tone.

Just be glad that your not Emily-her clothes got digested. Man I don't think I ever seen her that mad before.

He chuckles a little until he suddenly feels a hard punch in the back of his head, as he notices a small portal behind him. Emily shouts through it.

Ill let that one slide, but don't bring it up again. Also Jack, your garment isn't ruined forever. Pretty sure I can get some special soap to clean it up.

The portal closes and Brian just rubs his head.

Jack looks to Brian

It's a working garment, it can get a good deal of blood on it and get cleaned fine, but monster guts are a whole different thing. That's why it's dark red.

After some time Emily and Vune come back, Emily looks refreshed and clean, though Vune still has her cloak and mask on. Emily hands Jack a bottle of liquid.

Jack, believe me when I tell you that during my time making all sorts of creations I have had clothes covered in damn near anything you can imagine. So, I had Ell help me make something that can clean more or less any garment. That thing has cleaned damn near everything you can think of. Demon blood, Werewolf crap, Unicorn vomit.

Brian just looks confused.

Wait, demon blood I can understand, but how did you get werewolf crap and unicorn vomit on your clothes.

Emily just smiles and replies cheekily.

Don't ask questions you wouldn't like the answer to. Ill just say it involved a project to make a really interesting mount or guard dog, and it did not end well.

Jack takes it and his clothes that were brought to him. He gives the special soap to the man with the dirt coat as he runs off.

Thanks

Vune just examines the bits and pieces of the beast. She quickly cleans all the others of any gore on them, this time keeping it from hitting anyone else. She says to Emily rather sweetly.

Sweetheart, do you think you could reverse engineer that beast? It was quite impressive, and It would make a great guard dog.

Emily rolls her eyes.

I would prefer not to. I don't think I ever want to see a thing like that again.

Vune nods.

Fair enough. Probably for the best, I think it would be rather difficult training such a thing. Do you think you would be willing to act as bait again sweetheart? A little magic and i can make you look completely different. OOH, ill make you look like a little girl, that should attract a killer.

Emily sighs.

Fine. I doubt it will be any worse this time then getting eaten.

the priest steps forward

I'd be willing to act as bait if you'd prefer not to Emily.

Emily shakes her head.

No, I cant die. You can. Besides I doubt many would want to attack a giant like you, and I doubt you would consent to be disguised as a little girl.

Vune looks to him before looking to Emily

Not gonna lie though, that idea is absolutely hilarious.

The priest picks up a stick, disheveles his hair, and begins to hobble around using the stick. He looks extremely feeble and crippled like this.

I can make myself look quite weak and defenseless. I would like to be of service, I haven't done enough to help. Please.

Vune just shrugs.

Up to you sweetheart. Honestly I was considering getting Veera to act as bait if you weren't up to it, but this saves me the trip.

Emily just nods.

Fine. But if you die, don't blame me.
