As they enter Dow has just checked the last merc and just sighs.

No wonder these guys came here for this bounty, not a damn one of them have so much as a coin on them. No notes either, so either these men are illiterate are they don't take notes. Oh well. Based on the notes I got so far, whoever or whatever did this is quite clearly very brutal. Most people don't maul children like that. It seems unlikely its a beast, I didn't see any fur or feathers. Not to mention I doubt most beasts would be this stealthy. Ask those nords what they know of that lady assassin they mentioned. I think I'm gonna hit the hay for the night.

Dow begins heading up the stairs as Brian and Carl sit down and shaker their heads, upset at what they saw.

Agnar literally has to drag Mikkel away from the scene, shock painted in his face. They enter the tavern and Agnar sighs.

Hell. This or those assassin's...

Agnar brings a tankard of rum to Mikkel

Brian just sighs as he looks to the nords.

Mind telling us about that assassin lady you mentioned earlier? Looks like this might be her work.

Agnar sits down

Well... For what I remember when I and some guards spotted her, she ran in light leather with a little cloth on to subdue sound... She's agile, fast and sneaky.

Not to mention brutal. Just like the family out there, she had mauled Mikkels brother and some of his friends. All children.and as said, she was seen once, and set off running. Never saw her again, and the killings was less frequent.
When she killed someone, she carved 2 numbers into their back as I mentioned earlier... There's no real meaning behind them, I think. Don't know of she's a part of a guild or something, but I'd be really careful going out that door.

Brian nods.

Does she normally only target easy prey, like unarmed families, or would she target armed men too?

Armen men died, but in a little different manner. Less brutality, I might say.

A loud crash can be heard from upstairs, along with a shout, Brian and Carl bolt upstairs and swing the door open. Dow is on the ground, in a pool of blood. The 2 scan the room and see a large hole in the nearby window, Brian checks the body and doesn't feel a pulse. He turns to Carl

Unless she's a lich like Emily i think she's dead. This, is not good.

Agnar shrugs

Brian nods to Agnar as he comes up. He scratches his head as he shrugs and just picks up Dow's body and takes it downstairs before setting it down on a table. Her notes are gone, but he doesn't see any numbers on her back. Carl just shrugs.

Maybe she didn't have the time to mark her?
