I spoke with Emily about various things since my arrival, and I can tell you that Emily can see and hear anything on the island but only if they relate to her. Ever hear of that old saying your ears burn when someone speaks behind your back? Comes from an old mage trick, lets a mage always know when someone is speaking about them. Moment someone says her name on this island or when she is somewhere near by she can hear what they say. So most confessions would be safe, unless the confessor is confessing something involving her-but given she lives in that wretched castle down below, I don't imagine many people on the island even know about her, let alone need to confess something about her. And people of the same name won't trigger it either. The person needs to be referring to her specifically when saying her name, so no worries about that. If you still don't like that just ask her later to exclude the church from the spell. But for now, I gotta go and get to work. She has a lot planned for this event.
