Agnars smile Gades

Well, she actually attacked some villages, because they didn't give her gold... I went to stop her, in which I succeeded but... Didn't do it unharmed.

Emily just scoffs as she shakes her head.

That witch was a damn fool. Greedy one at that. Sure, gold helps when buying stuff, but a witch should be able to take care of most needs without buying items, and it isn't hard to sell a bit of magic aid for gold. A few common tricks that sell pretty well to peasant folk are things like heat crystals that dry clothes fast, potions that soothe aches and pains, charms to ward off pests from crops. Plenty of ways to EARN gold rather then take it, and doing so makes it to where more people seek your aid rather then your death.

If that witch dealt any damage that hasn't healed I could probably undo it. From the sound of it, this witch was stupid, and probably didn't have very powerful magic. Typically the most troublesome ones are also the weaker ones. Spend too much time causing havoc instead of learning more magic.

Agnar leans back

Well, I'm not sure if it's healed... At least, it doesn't affect me anymore. But the physical injuries are long gone.

The priest walks in and gets a mug of beer.

Emily looks to the priest, and thinks hard for a moment before greeting him.

Conner, isn't it? I can't recall if we met before-my memory is a bit fuzzy at the moment. How are you enjoying the island? And on a side note when you see Jack, tell him a big event will happen in Akrotiri soon.

The priest smiles.

Technically O'Conner is my last name. My first name is Michael, but priests introduce ourselves as Fr. insert last name here. What's happening in Akrotiri?

Emily takes out a few letters and sets them down before speaking.

Little known fact Michael, but despite most witches and wizards preferring solitude, we do keep in contact with certain peers on certain issues. And i have recieved a few messages from said peers stating that a large tournament is going to occur in Akrotiri with very impressive rewards and prizes. Figured Jack might be interested, but regardless if he chooses to go or not, I certainly intend to.

Emily puts back the letters as she gets up, and begins to leave, though saying in a rather serious tone as she does so.

More then that I can not say. It is not wise to divulge too much information given by other mages. Lest I lose their trust and they ostracize me. And I really enjoy our weekly book club, and would hate to miss out.

Michael can not tell if that was a joke or it was intended to be serious, but she is gone before he can ask anything else. Oggie just sighs as he takes a drink of rum before speaking.

Mages. Always needing to hide something from someone.

Agnar seems to think about it. But it's Mikkel who asks the question

What kind of tournament?

Oggie just shrugs.

No telling. I doubt Emily will tell us. Mages are real annoying when it comes to handing out info, hell she might not know herself, and just wants to appear as though she does. Mages hate being caught not knowing something.

A sigh is heard as Emily comes back in rolling her eyes.

It will involve fighting, and i won't say more then that. The other mages hear i blab too much i wont get invited to the next slumber party. Now i need to get going. I have things to prepare.

Emily leaves again though Oggie just takes another sip of rum before speaking.

You know, it just occurred to me that Emily probably listens in on all the conversations on this island using her magic. Or she has god like hearing.

Emily can be heard in the distance shouting.

Both actually.

Oggie shrugs getting the answer to his question and making a mental note to watch what he says from now on.

Seems like we found the first destination to sell the gems at.
