Jack nods. The ship sails forward, she ship is very fast and soon in a couple hours valorim is in sight. Jack looks to the city, noticing that it looks almost complete. One of the forts is finished, and the three churches are nearly finished, along with many other buildings.

When Brian and Carl arrive they immediately head to the cave and look at the crystal. Brian hits it with his mace, though it barely chips it. He thinks before turning to Jack.

Can you get some men of yours to bring down a big cannon? otherwise we will be hitting this all day, but a few cannonballs should get right through it.

Carl tries pushing it over, though its rooted to the ground. He gives up after a moment and just goes back toward the nearest fort to get a cannon.

Jack's ship hails the large lookout, who stands on a tall lighthouse which a long dock from the dockbreaches to it. Near th entrance to the massive harbor a good number of warships lie on either side. Two frigates sit at an angle, their guns pointed too the entrance. The frigates fire a salute as the ship sail past. The ship docks and Jack steps off. He looks to Carl .

What're you doing?

They hadn't actually gotten to the island yet.

oh sorry. got a bit ahead of myself :D

Carl points to a large cannon.

Well we need to smash the crystal to open up the way to Emily, and me and Brian tried hitting it with a mace, but it barely chipped it, so he asked me to borrow a 42 pounder cannon to speed things up. He figured you wouldn't mind.

Jack grimaces

I don't that'd be a good idea. We might kill her, also those guns can't be moved without my orders. I suggest we leave her alone for now, we should deal with gale. And it requires at least twelve men to move the things and as you can see, the fort is rather high up and it's nearly impossible to get a gun down. Through the somewhat narrow corridor.

Carl looks confused.

Uh mate, she isn't IN the crystal. Veera said the crystal is just blocking a passage down into a deeper cave where she's at. But ill go tell Brian we just need to keep chipping away at it until then.

Jack nods.

Yes I know. If the gun fires and manages to break through the wall, it will send rocks flying everywhere. Perhaps we should deal with fake first?

Nelly just groans before pointing at herself.

Why not ask someone who knows magic to just levitate a cannon down. The sooner i meet Emily the sooner i can get to work for her, and the sooner i can stop worrying about Veera thinking im trying to ditch my job again. Besides, from what Veera told me, Emily's passage is below the crystal, not behind it. So blasting it won't have any risks. But i do think dealing with Gale might take priority.

Carl looks a bit worried though before asking Jack.

Don't you think Emily might be upset if we deal with Gale without her? I mean Ellen was HER sister, so I think she might want to see her punished. And its not like Gale is getting out of that crystal anytime soon.

Jack shrugs.

Fine we can shoot through, but we must use a 12 pounder, a 42 pounder is out of the question.
