RP- A big leap back.

Alright time for the next rp, after a fairly big break. This is another from the contest a while back, this one being thought up by Thomas tew- formerly known as captain jack, so credit goes to him.

The rules are as follows.

1. Try to keep things in character. Don't post something unrelated to the RP here. If you don't like this RP, don't complain about it here. Post a new thread or start your own RP thread if you don't like this one. I would actually be quite happy if someone posts a RP of their own so please feel free to do so.
2. You can control your characters actions-You can not control others. NPC's are fair game and anyone can control them, so long as its believable and in character. A guard for example shouldn't just up and decide to shoot an orphan for no reason-that is out of character. Anyone without a name will be considered a NPC, if you name a character but want it to be a NPC then just mention that said character is NPC in quotation marks after a post.
3. Use Italics for actions, and try to separate things nice and neat. Also use paragraphs when needed.
4. No editing of a post once you post it. The exception is to fix spelling mistakes or minor errors. It can be real annoying when someone posts one thing and another responds to it only to find what they responded too is now completely different.
5-this RP is set back quite a few years, so dial back ages of characters used in other RP's.
6. The most important rule- Have fun.

It is a bright sunny day in the harbor as a large frigate of the British royal navy is currently being loaded up with supplies and sailors. The ship is called the St. Mary, and it is about to set out on a long patrol around the nearby waters after hearing of sightings of potential pirates from local fishermen. A man in the front of it is overseeing the loading of it, an older man of great size by the name of Leonard, serving as quartermaster for the ship. He calls out to the nearby loaders and sailors.

Come on everyone, let's pick up the pace now. We are burning day light, and the captain wants to get this job over and done with.

[Jack Teach]

A young midshipman walks along the docks towards the ship. He's around 13, but he's quite tall and has a tan as if he had been at sea already. His uniform is new and perfectly clean, he wears a sword at his side which is unusual. He walks over to the quartermaster.

Sir, could you please direct me to the first lieutenant so that I may report to him?

[Zephore]

On the docks, a young boy sits. A longsword lays by his side. He looks too young to wield it. He's looking at the ships in harbour and mumbling with himself

When does he return?

Jump backwards, omegalol.

A small boy watches the activity in the port, a small coin made of black iron with a ruby in the middle around his neck

The quartermaster nods and points to the ship.

He's probably busy talking to the captains below deck in his quarters. We should be shoving off soon, last bit of supplies is being loaded now. Rather suprised at all the people hanging around here at the moment. Specially all these young lads. Gotta keep an eye on them, some might try and stow away on our ship. Keep an eye out for that.

[Jack Teach]

The midshipman nods.

Aye sir. Should they not be pressed into service? They look like they could carry gunpowder for the guns.

Remember the first lieutenant is second in command, they were would be three or four lieutenants. The first being the senior, and the the third being junior to the rest.

Leonard shakes his head.

Both me and the captain don't press kids into service, on account of an old incident that happened to us around 15 years ago. A Damn kid didn't take kindly to it, stole a gun and fired it into the powder room. Blew the whole ship up, killed damn near everyone. Me and the captain had to swim nearly 10 miles back to land. After that we both decided not to press kids into service in the future. Anyway just hop on and go about your business. I gotta stay here for a bit longer to see if any more sailors are coming.

The midshipman nods and goes to the great cabin below the quarterdeck. He knocks on the door.
