Don't know what movie that was, or who said that, but they clearly didn't know much about greek mythology. Since at the end of the day, the titans lost to the gods- and if they were greater then them then that's even more embarrassing. Would be like a tiger getting beat in a fight by a cat. So much for superiority . And hell even when the titans WERE the rulers they were FAR from the strongest beings at the time or had absolute power. Primordials were stronger then them honestly.

SInce you mentioned Titans from greek mythology it seems that you convenietly forgot that gods Zeus,Poseidon,Hades were born from titans

But didn't the gods have the help of the elder cyclops and the hundred hand ones.

Yes they were. And said gods beat and overthrew them. What's your point? In fact that makes things even further embarrassing. Losing to your own children? That's just sad. And lets bring up some more facts about titans. Cronus, their leader had children with his sister-Rhea. Cronus also ate his children out of fear of them overthrowing him. Cronus also castrated his father Uranus.

Why exactly do you guys call yourselves Titans? Personally I wouldn't want to be associated with baby eaters, incest couples and people who are terrible family members. But to each their own I suppose

The elder cyclops and the hundred hand ones were the titan's brothers, who made the gods powerful weapons, which helped them in the war.
Also, Titans sound better to me, just my opinion

They did, but they got their help because Cronus broke his promise to his mother to free them from Tarturas. Another interesting fact about titans-they were liars and promise breakers. What kind of person lies to his own mother. For shame titans for shame.

It really is funny. If Cronus kept his promise to free his brothers, he wouldn't have lost his throne, or had to eat his children. He literally caused his own downfall. So i always think being called a titan, is far from a compliment.

Chronus ate his children as he knew that they will overthrow him but Rhea hidden Zeus that imprisoned Titans in the underworld with tartarus gate keeping them. But they were never killed they were just imprisoned there and from titans everything started. I can keep on greek mythology but it would take days and I am not in the mood to have that long discussion. But it amazes me you all are for roos team and it seems roos team doesn't play by the rules so I would be ashamed to defend such a team or even trying to insult other team that plays fair....

Ain't insulting your team mate, bringing up facts about titans. And yes almost all greek dieties did terrible things but have you noticed the only team to refer to themselves as a greek deity is Dez's team? No one else made a claim about beings a titan, or gods, or any other sort of claim. Just dez-and as i pointed out claiming to be like a titan or a greek god is a terrible thing to be. Also it seems rather cocky to do so. And no, from titans everything did NOT start- Chaos is where everything started. From it came Gaia, Nyx, Erebus, and the other primordials. The titans came after them, then the gods. And don't bring up accusations mate. Keep it out of forums Jack will handle it.

Actually you are wrong. When I mentioned titans it was not in the sense of Greek Mythology.

Per Merriam-Webster:

Definition of titan
1 capitalized : any of a family of giants in Greek mythology born of Uranus and Gaea and ruling the earth until overthrown by the Olympian gods
2 : one that is gigantic in size or power : one that stands out for greatness of achievement

You can read my blurb and check, it is lower case which makes a difference. The inference is to the second definition. Any reference to Greek Mythology is an inaccuracy.

Fair point Dez, Though simply having the same name as them will draw images in most people minds. I hope everyone realizes that I'm not saying any of this to be mean or bitter, and that all my smack talk is just in good fun. I really do like the teams everyone made, and any insults or smack talk I do is in jest.

Also Titan can have more meaning than just greek mythology so why do you think that he chose name Titan because of greek mythology?
