which would you have: a snotty bratty kid who does nothing besides brags and gets on people nerves with a A average , or a quite helpful kid who has a B average
Yes personality does matter for team cohersion and ability to follow orders, but that is an after thought to one's abilities and skills. A great leader can overcome personalities setbacks. I know that from actual experience.
Example:
Player A can be outspoken and can bump heads with others. Skill level is unknown.
Player B is helpful, easy to talk with, a friendly person, gets along with everyone. Skill level is unknown.
Which would you rather have?
Actually, an argument can be for both. Especially in PG. You need that forum shit talker to antagonize and distract. Pulls focus away from those with their hand up the skirt to come in unexpectedly.
People discount the effectiveness of the forum troll the spouts crap all day. This is exactly why I love the makeup of Dez team. How Much shit was caused in forums by some of these players, how much focus did certain players get? Normal retaliation can be made exponentially bigger because of it. wasting turns, cards, and resources on one person when the real attack is coming from a different direction.
Subversion and subterfuge.
