The barkeep nods as he hands the new man a mug of rum and Jack some tobacco. Carl asks for a plate of food and is given one.

First of everything is free. Local governor said he will pay for the first of everything for all party goers. We got plenty of food and drink and tobacco. Harvest was just amazing this year.

[DezNutz]

The man nods at the bartender.

Thanks for the drink. So how long is this party supposed to last. Is there no curfew?

[Jack Teach]

Jack puts the tobacco in his pipe, lights it, and begins to smoke.

Long time I imagine, at least a week.

[Meliva]

Barkeep shrugs.

Local governor didn't say how long he intends to keep it going. I think a week at least probably. Just between us I hear he is trying to get the king of Spain to come to the party along with a few other important lords and ladies. Doing that would really raise him up the social ladder. But honestly if I get free booze and other party items he could be trying to get king Poseidon to show up for all I care. And no curfew unless your a wee one. But they have a curfew normally anyway. Oh and no entering the upper fancy districts without a pass. They wanna keep riff raff like me outta there.

[Jack Teach]

Jack laughs

I think I could get in, and some other people... if they wanted.

No riff raff! That's insulting. The riff raff are the life of the party.

[Meliva]

Barkeep laughs.

Well you know how those upper crust jerks can be. Most don't know how to have a good time. But please don't go bugging them or sneaking in. Would hate for the governor to cancel the party early. I'm making a ton outta it. But if you want a way to get in legitimately I got some advice for you. Since if you enter with permission they can't kick you out or do nothing about it. A pretty important lady is heading to the party. She be an old friend of mine, and wants to know if I can recommend some men to go with her as an escort. If your interested just let me know.

Jack grins.

The man runs his fingers through his beard.

What kind of escort? Like personal bodyguards or the leisurely kind?

The man laughs.

The lady can handle herself pretty well, she certainly doesn't need bodyguards. Its more to keep her company and so the other lords and ladies don't think she can't get an escort to a party. Those stuck ups can be quite judemental honestly, and she would prefer talking to you lot then them anyway. She used to be an orphan and grew up with us other riff raff, so she knows how to have a good time, which is why she normally tries to get local escorts rather then professional ones. She says they are rather boring to be with.
