Bigtea Lottery

Postby Bigtea47 » Mon Mar 12, 2018 11:08 pm

I hereby announce that I am starting a lottery for players in Avonmora.

Players purchase tickets and pick a number with each ticket they buy.
When lottery starts, I will start generating a random number every day. (Random number generator for now)
Once a number is selected that belongs to a ticket, the total accumulated pot is sent to winning player, or split if more than 1 players have such number.

RULES

-2m for first ticket, 5m for any additional tickets
-You pay the fees for tickets and winnings
-You may choose any number between 1 and 100
-Numbers choosen with multiple tickets don't have to be the same
-You can still buy tickets after game starts
-Please send money for tickets to my bank, so I don't have to waste turns moving the money around.

My ID is #59550
My bank is Bigtea Corporation (BTC)

Lottery starts when pot reaches 50m AND minimum 5 players join

Please post what numbers you choose and amount of tickets bought.

Suggestions to improve lottery are welcome
Thanks!

Current Pot:

30m confirmed
0m pending

Players and numbers:

ShadowWood: (13,69) paid
Getsum (21 42 60) Paid
Poppy (47) Paid
SpacedefenderX (37,42) paid
Natsu (43) paid

if someone has 497M gold couldn't they just buy every number and automatically get that gold and the other winnings automatically? The only way they wouldn't win is if someone else also got the right number and the prize was split.

How will you be choosing the winning numbers? A random number generator?

Well I guess that technically possible. But the risk of having to split all your gold with one lucky person would be a risk I doubt so.eone would take

A random number generator on Google.
But hoping to find a generator that could be viewed publically to prove I did really get the numbers I post

Yeah it is rather unlikely. And given the fact that if someone had 497M gold to spare they probably wouldn't care too much of getting an extra 10M or so especially at a high risk.

I was initially thinking 1 to 1000 but in case we have a low player participation I didn't want the lottery to go on for a year

Why not just say whoever gets the closest to the number within a certain period of time? Regardless whatever you decide if fine-I won't be participating as I don't believe in gambling-just isn't worth the risk in my opinion.
