Alright fair enough.

As the group begin to climb the stairs, they turn to a slope, and oil comes pouring down, taking them back to the bottom. A few of the remaining pirates near the top laugh as they begin blocking the stairs with furniture.

We went through that same trap when storming the place. Pretty funny seeing it happen to you guys.

The admiral comes in, and thinks if these men made it up despite this trap they must have had a way. He examines the stairs and after a minute he notices some puncture marks in the slope.

They must have used some weapon or item to make holes in the slope, then climb up by using their weapons as holds. If we can climb to the 2nd highest floor we can get on stable ground and break through and fight them. Then we just need to climb the last floor and we can hopefully find Gale.

Thought I made it pretty clear, but ill let the admiral show you. its sort of like rock climbing.

The admiral steps forward.

Ill show you mate.

He takes out a knife jams it into a hole. and begins pulling himself up, he takes out a second knife and jams it into a higher hole, he takes his first knife out as he pulls himself higher up the slope and jams the first knife into a third hole. He continues doing this as he goes up the slope. He curses as he hears the sounds of fighting near the top. Gale must have reached the witch. He hopes they can make it in time.

The admiral reaches the 2nd highest floor as he gets onto stable ground. He begins hacking his way through the barricade as the men on the other side are shocked to see someone made it this high. They fire several shots into him knocking him back as he slumps to a wall. He notices a switch labelled stair trap. He pushes it up, and the slope becomes stairs again. The men behind the barricade continues stacking items to slow down any attackers. Yells and screaming can be head above.

Jack and his men manage to get up. They then begin to move away barriers, killing men as they do so by firing pistol, carbine, and blunderbuss. With a lot of effort, they break through and begin to fight on the other side.

Meanwhile on the Admiral's flagship....

A sailor comes up from below deck to relieve the watch only to discover the two sailors on watch have been incapacitated and Gregory to be missing. A few personal effects of Gregory's, to include the book he was reading and the pipe that he was smoking, are neatly placed on the barrel where he was sitting. There appears to no signs of a struggle.

The admiral manages to summon what little strength he has left and gets up. He limps over as fast as he can to the fighting and helps cut down what few men remain. Him and Jack go up the last flight of stairs. Once there he see's a man dressed in captain's attire, covered in blood, with a large bag that looks completely filled, on the ground near him is a young woman's body that is also covered in a large amount of blood, it looks like she's been stabbed and bludgeoned repeatedly, though it looks like she's still breathing. The man turns to Jack and the Admiral, and he smiles as he quickly takes out a crystal, and a bright light flashes in the room. When the admiral looks again there is no trace of the man. A string of curses come flowing out of his mouth until he tires out and slumps back down. He turns to Jack as his vision fades and he points to Emily.

See if you can patch the witch up. Maybe she knows where he went or how to find him.

The admiral takes one last breath as he dies. Emily' looks up to Jack. She weakly points to a nearby cabinent filled with potions and weakly tells jack to hand her the one labelled life.

Emily drinks it and her wounds stabilize. She sits up as she looks around.

Thanks Jack. That was a close one. Thankfully I know where he went. That was a neat little item called a recall crystal. Teleports the person who uses it back to somewhere they've been not to long ago. He's probably back on his flagship that went north when they ran from the French. I would be careful chasing that man though. I don't think he's human-at least not a normal one. Most of the blood me and him were covered with was his-no matter how many times I stabbed him and no matter how much he bled he just shrugged it off and kept fighting. And I know I hit vital organs during our fight. He took a lot of my books and items. I also heard him mumble about heading to Panselo next. Ill be sending my sister a warning by bird about him. Do me a favor and catch him okay? Those books and items are not safe in his hands. I gotta take some time to heal up. Ill follow you later. Is there any questions you have of me before you go?
