The admiral laughs as he turns to Jack.

Mate, sometimes the smallest things can make all the difference. I once nearly lost a huge battle, but won thanks to one little cutter getting a miraculous shot into a man of war's ammo storage, blowing it up. I think that cutter was called the cunning linguist. Woman named Abigale sailed it. That was about 40 years ago.

The admiral reaches the tavern, he walks in looks around and approaches John and the other man

Hope I'm not interrupting but I would like to have a chat with you, and a possible offer you might like. May I join you fine gentlemen. The names Admiral Alexander, of the Spanish navy.

The man takes a seat across from John.

Thank you, sir. My name is Gregory. But I guess my business can wait.

John let's out a small laugh

You know gentlemen, I spent the last several hours or more sitting in silence attempting to dig up some Intel for my Admiral. It's quite fascinating to have three men show up all within the same few minutes.

looking to the Spanish Admiral

Sir, I do believe Gregory had approached first, however out of respect for your rank and haste perhaps it's best you speak first.

The admiral nods.

Sorry for interrupting. Ill cut to the chase. Me and some other forces are about to try to hunt down a dangerous man who tried to burn this port to the ground and desired to do the same to other ports. I wished to see if you would be willing to join us in hunting him down-we know where he is heading already. I'd be willing to pay for your services if you want, but its fine if you do not wish to join us. Ill be over having a drink at the bar. Have a nice chat you 2. Come talk to me if either of you are interested.

The admiral quickly walks over to the bar and orders a drink.

Thank you Admiral, I will meet you at the bar soon.

My apologies Gregory, now what was it you wished to discuss?

Well, I'm here about the intelligence you are trying to dig up. A man has to make a living.

I presumed as much. I was instructed to remain here and learn what I could of a man named "Gale". You and your other associate had mentioned his name earlier and my Admiral took an interest for some reason.

What form of payment are you looking for in exchange for what you told the other man and of course anything you may have forgot to mention to him?

"3rd Lieutenant John Barineau of his majestys royal french navy"

A pleasure to meet you Jack.

You wouldn't happen to be the very same pirate Jack Teach would you?
