Major updates are not postponed. They simply take a lot of time.

Last major update is Nations Diplomacy and its latest part is the ability of Kings to name Governors, 2 weeks ago. The next major update are plantations, something that will be released with most core features working. Such, takes time as it is work that needs to be done before release, in contrary to what is happening with Nation Diplomacy which started 5 months ago and still has features coming in.

Its something ive discovered by watching others, advice from older players and a bit of my own logic. I have seen some players get hit hard-very very hard and yet they still play and have come back from it. Black sparrow taught me and many others a good backbone can help when you need to rebuild. I havnt had any personal experience for having to rebuild from the ground up, though i have taken hits from time to time-just nothing severe like some players have.

In my experience I suspected that one could not lose early on (within a few weeks of starting), as there were players that I saw defleet and come back. I confirmed my suspicions when I defleeted for the first time (a few months later). While Meliva hit it on the head, a player doesn't need ANYTHING to come back. A player could zero their gold, zero their voodoo, zero their ships, and still come back. That in itself is the greatest feature in this game, but not the reason I stayed.

yeah, you can come back from 0, but its much easier coming back when you have some resources stashed away to help. And any smart player should have some stashed away just in case. In my opinion the best thing is credits-literally the only thing that's untouchable, and can be used to get anything you need. Ships, voodoo, gold, turns. really a good idea to keep a good chunk of them on hand at all times.

I have experienced being defleeted twice, being left with only one howker and less than 100 voodoo, and still being able to rebuild to full strength or even stronger since I learned and applied more of my knowledge of the game to build my fleets better than ever. Th second time I got defleeted I had more resources to rebuild my ships and replenish myself with gold bar and credits.
P.S. you can lose a lot if your first weeks, I lost two sotls I was building up and all my ships to Avery my first couple weeks here

Absolutely. In general, the longer you play, the easier it is to rebuild, as over time you will naturally stock resources, gc, etc. Having defleeted 3 times since I started playing, twice within a few months of each other, the experiences of rebuilding are invaluable. There are so many different approaches that one can take.
