Jack smiles

Perhaps he's repenting?

Jack laughs, he picks up his weapons which were on the table and races towards the church

The swordsman looks at Jack, he gives the bartender some gold for the damage, and then runs to the church

When jack and any others heading to the church enter it, they see a very peculiar sight. At the altar is a sheep in a wedding gown, carl is next to it, and the priest is currently holding her head as he talks to Carl in a tired voice.

Carl, please for the love of god, I told you a 1000 times you cant marry a bloody sheep. And why the hell are you covered in manure and blood.

Carl replies somewhat annoyed.

And I told you a 1000 times, Cindy here is a pretty young woman. Shes just a bit hairy and like to walk on all fours. I mean who hasn't done that before.

The priest shouts.

MOST PEOPLE CARL. MOST PEOPLE HAVE NEVER WALKED ON ALL FOURS.

He calms down and takes a deep breath.

Carl, how about the nuns take you to the lake, clean you up and patch you up, and I will talk to "cindy" about your marriage.

Carl smiles as he nods. and heads off with a few elderly nuns. The father see's jack and the other man and smiles.

Can I help you my children.

The priest sighs.

Mate, you could beat him within an inch of his life a dozen times and he would still be the same crazy idiot. He is just completely barmy, it would take god himself to teach him anything. The best thing to do with him is just ignore him. After a while if no one responds he moves on to bother others. I rather hate to admit it, but theres been times I contemplated murdering him- a part of me thinks it would be merciful but I know that it is not my place to judge that. Regardless, the church will repay any damages done or property lost or stolen due to him. Just tell me the damages and I can get on that. And honestly carl isn't a bad person, just stupid and insane, so please remember as the bible says and turn the other cheek, and forgive him.

The priest nods.

Well he is or WAS a captain in the local navy. A pretty good one, though even back then he had the nickname crazy carl-he would do rather odd things and use bizarre strategies but he was pretty sane and rational, then one day he goes out to patrol on his ship with his crew, ship comes back with just him on it and hes completely barmy. Man doesn't remember anything before then except his title and name Captain carl.

A young woman rushes in screaming.

The tavern' been set on fire, theres a lot of men starting fires and attacking passerby's. Someone gotta do something, the local guards don't have enough men to deal with this many people, most of them our out on patrol.

A man points to Jack and shouts to all the other men.

That's one of the bloody scum who killed john and a few of our others mates.

All the men focus on Jack, many grabbing their muskets and pistols, some wielding swords and Molotov's. One of them shouts.

I happen to be the quartermaster of a rather vicious pirate crew, and when our captain heard some folks went and killed a couple of our men he decided we needed to teach them a lesson. So after we butcher you, we are going to butcher as many people as we can and burn as much as we can before the patrol gets back. That should send a nice message. And if our crew kills Jack here, our infamy will go up tremendously. So I hope your ready for your final battle Jack.

Jack laughs.

Nay, don't be fools, run away whilst you can.

Several ships in the harbor explode.
