Raven follows the group, his poleaxe covered in blood

Jack and his remaining men follow.

Ellen begins climbing the stairway and once at the top she curses. The entire entrance is blocked by a giant spiderweb. And on the other side she can barely see spiders waiting. The golems are already stuck on the web. She turns to the others.

Can someone hit this thing with some fire. And be prepared to fight when you do. The spiders might rush in once the web is gone.

Raven douses the web in oil, then uses a small match to burn it down

[Jack Teach]

Jack raises his cutlass, the men lower their guns

[Meliva]

As the web burns the spiders stand back. once its gone the golems are free and the spiders begin rushing in. Emily orders to golems to kill the spiders, and they begin fighting them, but most of the spiders run past looking for softer targets. Ellen looks for the queen but doesn't see it. Ellen, Emily and Brian both begin fighting the spiders with their melee weapons, trying to keep them from hitting the men with guns.

Jack's men begin shooting the larger ones whilst jack stabs them when he can

After a while the spiders seem to all be dead, what few remain seem to run away back to the forest. Emily gets a bad feeling, so she sends the golems out first, the golems march out into the open and reach the edge of the forest safely. Emily looks to the others.

It seems safe outside, but be careful and on guard.

Ellen and Brian nods, as they both clean their weapons and patch up the wounded. Ellen looks outside, the sun is beginning to set. She calls to Jack and Raven.

I think we should rest now. I do not want to go out into that forest at night, that would be suicide.

Emily nods.

Yeah, and thankfully I asked Timo how to turn the barrier back on. So we only need to watch the lizard side, and the golems can stand guard for that. Along with a few people to shout us awake if they pass the golems.

[Jack Teach]

Jack promptly collapses and falls asleep

Raven sits down and leans against the cavern wall, then falls asleep
