jack puts his sword away

Aye, lets go get it.

Solberg laughs

Won't help much more then any other sword. The sword is blessed to kill demons, and these spiders while monstrous are not demons. I would never use demons or demonic creatures as guards. They are not trustworthy, and would make for poor guards.

[Meliva]

Emily heads north, until they reach a hill. Solberg chants and a large door appears. The door slowly opens and a staircase appears going down. Solberg thinks for a bit.


These stairs lead down into the cavern, i recall i placed giant lizards in the cavern, so be careful of that.

Brian curses.

The hell is it with you and giant creatures.

Solberg laughs.

I figured they would make good deterrents. I didn't want people settling this island and finding my tower, and who would be mad enough to try to settle on a giant creature infested island. I mean hell look at it. 500 years since I was here and no settlements, so I think I did a damn good job.

Raven breaks off a branch, and covers the tip in a doused oil, then lights the torch

Jack stops

Hold on, how are we going to kill these damn things?

[Meliva]

Solberg thinks.

Well, they may be giant, but they are still just lizards. Stab them or shoot them enough and they will die. But that polearm I mentioned earlier, smite, it was enchanted to be very effective against giants-and not just human ones either. Also no need for torches in here. Cave is full of glowing fungus and mushrooms so you can see just fine. Anyway once we enter the cavern head north again, after a while we should reach a large river, and that will mean we are close to my tower. But be quick, the lizards are very dangerous.

Jack nods and turns to his men

You here that boys? You better be quick...

Raven shrugs, and puts out the torch

[Meliva]

Emily takes point as she goes down the stairs, until reaching the main cavern, filled with various glowing lights. She spots some lizards eating some rats, and quickly moves on. Solberg says to the party.

The lizards will start chasing us once they run out of food, so we won't have much time. Once we reach the river we just need to cross the bridge and then we are safe.
