Rylon looks at the sea, his expression unreadable
The fortress is located in the side of the island, impossible to travel over land, and guarded by a few sea monsters, whatever is inside the port, it is more than we could take

Veera says to rylon in a calm voice.

I can lure the sea monsters away with a cutter and some voodoo magic, once that's done I can send a signal for you all to hit the fort. I have been preparing as many voodoo charms and potions as possible on this trip, so that should help many of you in the fort.

Abigale speaks up as well.

Me and the other nuns have been preparing some holy charms as well, so between all of our charms we should have enough for everyone.

Finally Bernard speaks.

I have taken the liberty also to get plenty of very powerful armaments, and ammo. We can launch a huge volley of explosive shots and seriously damage the fort. I believe we can win this.

Destroying the fort won't be enough, whatever was guarding the entrance, it is no normal monsters.

Won't work, we tried to ward it off with all kinds of charms, it just tore our ship in two.

Veera says to Rylon in a annoyed voice.

Mate can you please stop being so gloomy and vague and give us some bloody specifics instead of vague statements. For starters what can you tell us of the monster. Do you know what it is specifically, if not what did it look like, is it a land based monster or sea based, or both. The more I know about it the more likely I can devise a way to kill or lure it away. And in the event we can't wipe them out here, we could try espionage, and get someone to sneak in, get info on the leader, and sneak out. But you need to tell us first what exactly is in there. It will be much easier dealing with a monster if we KNOW what the monster is.

Abigale turns to the priest and nods.

yes, its something i learned to do quite a while ago, and i shared that knowledge with the other nuns i work with. They won't make a person invincible, or grant any great power, but they help protect against voodoo, possessions, and other sinister arts to a degree. Just don't go in thinking that the charm will completely shield you from voodoo. Since we have so many men, we ended up making very basic charms, to make a really strong one takes a good bit of time, something we did not have. And these charms are not meant to protect the ships rylon, but the men who go into the fort from the enemy's voodoo and attacks.

Rylon looks at the sky, as if trying to remember something
We never found out how many of those monsters were there, but there was definitely at least a couple 4 leviathan, and I think 7 krakens, and the beast in the dark, we never got a good look. And the whole fortress is armed with more cannons then we could count, and I think I saw a few catapults, can't be sure on that one. The fortress has narrow entrance by sea, which is heavily guarded by god knows what.

Veera nods.

Finally some specific info. We can attack at dawn tomorrow. I will go first in the cutter the Cunning Linguist, and then I will lure the leviathans and krakens away. Once that's done, Quinton with his fleet will use the special explosive shot on the fort with mortars from a long distance. They will bombard it for around an hour, or until they think all the cannons and catapults in the fort have been blasted to pieces. Then Jack, Willie, and you and all your men can quickly sail in, and attack. Quinton will follow as soon as possible. We meet back in Akrotiri when its all over.

Luring won't work, we tried plenty of times, the monsters are too spread out to get all of their attention, and you need to get into the bay to lure them, which is very dangerous.

One question: who's in command or the fleet?
