Role-Play- A Step Back.

Abigale smiles as she chuckles a little.

It's Sister Abigale sweetie, but as for your age, you need to understand that I have been on this earth for 95 years. And believe me when I say sweetie that a 17 year old captaining a sloop is very far from the most outrageous and surprising things I have seen. I have been a part of numerous exorcisms, sailed the sea's for a couple decades, served in the last crusade 70 years ago, met the current pope and his predecessor. I have had a long fulfilling life.

[Jack Teach]

The priest does a double take.

Theater hasn't been a real crusade for hundreds of years! Unless there was a mock one I haven't heard about.

Jack turns to veerie.

So, what exactly is the plan?

[Meliva]

Abigale nods.

Yeah, it wasn't a proper crusade issued by the pope, though I and many other didn't know that at the time. A very despicable cardinal thought if he organized his own crusade and succeeded it would guarantee his chances of becoming the next pope. He gathered as many people he could-many of them children, told us the pope wanted us to crusade and off we went. it was an absolute bloodbath. The cardinal was excommunicated, his name erased, and the whole embarrassing incident covered up as much as they could.

Veera turns to Jack as she smile as she see's the caves in the distance. She says just watch. She begins chanting as 2 of the smaller ships in the lead begin to rapidly speed into the cave as they begin to glow and spark. they enter into the cave and seconds later a large deafining boom is heard and a large wave comes pouring out of the cave, carrying countless dead men and crows, and a green gas begins pouring out. Veera laughs.

I rigged a few ships with tons of explosives and all sorts of deadly gasses. They will either die in there or leave and be shot to death.

[Jack Teach]

jack looks out at the cave.

They were no sailors on those ships right?


The priest turns.

Actually I remember that incident, they just didn't call it a "crusade".

[Meliva]

Veera nods.

Technically yes, but they were those weird goo like men they used on us earlier. I spent some time and learned to make them myself. So no actual men died.

Abigale turns to the priest.

I know it wasn't an actual crusade. But when that cardinal sent us off he had told us it was a crusade, and many of us died thinking it a crusade, and so I remember it as a crusade. And in a way it was very similar to them, albeit on a much smaller scale. A lot of people were sent to the holy lands, and only a few came back. Despite it not being an actual crusade I will always refer to it as one, simply out of respect for my friends who died believing it was one.

[Jack Teach]

The priest nods

Aye, luckily, there are very few corrupt men left, I can't even name any.

Jack nods.
Good. Do we fire volleys into the cave?

[Meliva]

Veera shakes her head and points to the gas.

I say we save our ammo and keep our guns loaded and ready for any who try to flee out the cave. At least until the gas lets up. When that happens I can send in another fire ship deeper into the cave. The Captain also has several fleets all along the shore in case they try any hidden exits.

As if on cue the gas has nearly dissipated so she quickly chants once more and another sloop rushes into the cave, after a few minutes another large explosion is heard, and more bodies and crows come pouring out. She turns to Jack.

That was the last one I had prepared. Once this gas clears up, we can fire a volley and begin storming the caves.

[Jack Teach]

Jack nods

Sounds good to me, hands to quarters!

Cannons are loaded and run out, aiming straight for the mouth of the cave, they are not massive cannons but they are of a good size, especially for a sloop.

[D00T]

While the party fights at the cave,the port suddenly descends into fire

[Meliva]

Veera looks to the port and with a bored blank expression calmly states.

Huh. Well that's unfortunate for the sorry sods back there. But we can finish up killing everything here then deal with them. The captain will be having a blockade established soon and with that holy barrier they will have nowhere to run and no magic.

Abigale speaks up worried.

I hope the other nuns can help put a stop to it and keep the orphans safe.

Veera's blank expression turns into immense worry and fear as a sudden realization dawns on her.

OH BLOODY BLEEDIN HELL MY SISTERS ARE BACK THERE. IM GONNA BUTCHER THAT CROW AND FEED HIM TO HIS OWN BLOODY BIRDS.

Veera starts bolting across the small sloop taking out her knife, Abigale shouts to her but Veera dives into the water and begins swimming at break neck speeds back to port. She turns to Jack

I think we should finish up clearing this hideout. Like Veera said the blockade will keep them from leaving by sea, and the battalions in land will prevent escape by land. And with no magic to escape with they will be trapped.
