Actual storm as in storm that blocks the port, not storm that carries a kraken up the shore

Abigale shrugs.

Well, all the attackers are dead so we can't question any of them. But maybe we can find something aside from the crow pin on them to track down their leader or other accomplices. That storm will probably prevent anyone from leaving, at least by sea so if the boss is here, we should be able to find him. I will ask the governor to block all exits by land with some soldiers just in case. Maybe I can convince Veera to help out and give them something to let them see invisible people just in case they try using that trick again. You and your men can start checking the bodies, me and the nuns have to go and take care of the orphans.

Before she leaves she tells the governor her orders, and her and the nuns quickly head home. Veera is in her room having examined the orb before placing it in a strange bowl with markings, and smashing it into dust with a strange looking hammer. She smirks and puts the dust into a red pouch and seals it. She then lays down waiting for the nuns to return.

Jack has his men search for the bodies for clues, but find nothing. Jack walks sullenly back to the tavern.

In the heart of the port, a bright white flash can be seen for a moment, then it is gone

Veera and Abigale enter tavern and sit with Jack, Bernard comes over too and sets drinks and food down for all of them. Abigale nudges Veera who sighs and hands the 2 men very small vials with some sort of strange red liquid in it that seems to glow slightly.. She says in a irritated tone.

Due to the threat on the governor, and that these men seem to either know voodoo, or have voodoo items, Sister Abigale wanted me to give both of you a little voodoo just in case. If you think the enemy is invisible, just put a drop of that liquid in your eye and you can see them clear as day. But let me repeat myself just in case. Just. A. Drop. Anything more then that and that eye will go blind for a few hours.

Abigale nods.

I don't really like using Voodoo, but if its for the greater good then I'm willing to use it, especially if its the more benign kind like this. If there is anything you can think of you might want Jack, a potion of some sort or a charm, ask Veera to see if she can help, me and her plan to later help fortify the governor's mansion with a good mixture of Voodoo magic and holy blessings. Similar to what Panselo has. But for now lets drink, eat and relax a little. It's been quite a day. We also saw a bright light not to long ago, but neither of us know what exactly it was.

Veera nods.

We have a couple ideas of what it might have been, but it happened to fast and we didn't get a good enough look to actually know for sure.

Suddenly, several gunshots are heard from the docks, followed by screams and more gunshots

Jack takes the vial and studies it, and then puts it in his pocket. Jack takes a swig of rum, but then he heres the gunshots. jack gets up from the table and runs to the window.

That sounds problematic.

Veera smiles as she gets up and takes out a knife, while Abigale sighs and grabs her Morningstar. Bernard takes out a cutlass and a pistol and shouts to the customers.

Oy' you drunken bunch of bleedin bilge rats, get your gear and help us win this fight, and you all drink for free tonight.

All the customers cheer and quickly get up, grab some weapons and get ready to fight. They all look rather drunk, so Abigale nudges Veera and tilts her head to the men. Veera sighs and takes out a bit of dust. She does a quick chant, blows it towards them and their eyes glow pink for a second before they all look sober and serious. Abigale pats Veera's head to which she replies angrily.

Don't patronize me Abigale. I only did it so they wouldn't shoot me in their stupid drunken state.

The old nun just smiles as she turns to Jack.

Well, hope your ready for another fight.

The group quickly rush out and begin fighting the enemy.
