And in general there isn't anything wrong with that, but if the weaker is an experienced player there needs to be a limit to what is provided.

You can always help another from falling, but if they don't learn from their mistakes, the best way for them to learn is to let them fall.

If Juicy and Co. was still around then people would really have something to cry about. There isn't a guild in Avonmora right now that I consider off limits. I walked a hard road when I started, I got my first ship of the line and made it level 2, the first time I flashed it on the plunder board Silver Fox put it on the sea floor. I, for one, hope this launches a rebirth of savagery and penance for those who like to run their mouths or ***** at every turn.

Winter is coming.

^^ Juicy still gets on some, just like all the other vets in Fox. They always randomly checked on us in the guild forums.

Or prepare to deal with the consequences.

Then how about a little game to you all.

We make a vote in 3 months on the best training guild in Avonmora. The winning Guildmaster will get 100 million gc from me plus anything anyone else wants to throw into the bowl.

Although I've never been apart of such a guild, I think Helm or SSTG deserve the honor. I'll put in some gold as well.

May I have my levels and my atts back? I find it very rude to levi my fleets for no reason. Just send me the creds to purchase 5 expedition journeys and 7 Master Craftsmanship cards. You do know that this treaty is still in effect right?

Would be a good poll. :)

Being in one of the training Guilds, I must say that visions were different. A Guild may train new entries with the aim of having a stronger team. SSTG trained new players with the aim of letting them know (and love) Pirates Glory. Trainers never asked players to stay, and trainees have always been encuraged to find their own style of playing. After some time there was some goodbye. If a player wanted to stay, he/she were very welcome, but from the very beginning it was clear it would have been just a some-time-stay.

PhoenixKnight wrote:I guess what we are relatively all agreeing to is that training guilds should not be considered an easy target so we allow new players to stay in the game. We also agree that veteran players should not stay in a training guild for so long with the exception of guild instructors. If the learned enough perhaps bit is time to spread wings with a more permanent guild or go solo.

Exactly. I liked it when it was so.
Stay tuned on Radio Image Bermuda!

Are you a new player? Contact me in game and I'll cast a helping voodoo. Consider this like a sort of "tutorial mission".
