Abigale looks a bit miffed

Oh don't tell me you heard some of those nasty rumors about the bride have you? Complete rubbish every one of them-i have been raising children for nearly 60 years along with several of my sisters, and in that time we have gotten incredibly good at keeping them out of trouble and behaved. There have been the occasional instance of a boy or girl trying to sneak into the other dorms-perfectly healthy for young children, but me or one of my sisters always catch them in the act. We actually have 2 sisters in both dorms at all times just in case.

She calms a little after her rant and says in a more pleasant tone.

Unless it was something else you heard, and sorry for the rant, but hearing all those nasty rumors really upsets me.

Nay, nay sister. I heard someone coming from the far east was coming this way. India I think.,,

Outside the tavern, a small black haired boy and his friends set up a small trap for whoever exits or enters next

Abigale thinks.

I haven't heard about any travelers from India, but I don't really do much talking with others what with being busy with the orphans and all.

Outside Veera watches the kids set the trap, she quietly walks up to them, snatches the ale they stole with her right hand, and with her left grabs one of the smaller boys and tosses him into the trap. As she does so she turns to the black haired boy and gives him a cruel smile before saying in a patronizing tone

Little boys like you really need to learn to behave-or at least learn not to get caught.

Suddenly the boy drops out of the trap, and a bucket of water drops on Veera’s head, and the boys run away laughing, disappearing into the streets

Jack hears this. He walks outside with a scowl on his face, careful to avoid any traps.

What's all this?

A small sign was drawn on the ground, a drawing of a raven

Enraged Veera takes out a knife and throws it into the leg of one of the fleeing children, causing him to fall and scream. Abigale rushes out and quickly grabs her and begins dragging her away. She yells to Bernard.

Get that kid some help, Veera and I are going to have a little chat about her anger issues, and I'm going to be giving her some very strict punishments for this behavior.

Veera walks off with Abigale smiling at the boy she hit, mouthing the words "just wait til I find you and your friends again." Abigale noticing this smacks her and continues dragging her off. Speaking in her ear.

I raised you better then this, its just kids being kids.

The kids help the fallen one up, who is still laughing for some reason, and get him into a alleyway

Bernard catches up to the kids and grabs the one who got hit. He yanks him up and plops him on a nearby crate and says in a deep growling voice.

Abby wanted me to help you, so I gotta help you, now I'm gonna fix that cut of yours, but I don't want you little troublemakers causing any more mischief at my tavern. I know several of your parents, and believe me when I say if they won't beat sense into ya, me and Abby will.

He looks at the cut, and the knife still in the leg he takes it out and looks worried he says in a very angry voice.

That bloody girl. This damn thing has venom on it. When Abby hears this Veera will be getting quite the beatin.

He examines the cut already noticing it turning purple. He mumbles as he begins sucking out the venom, after doing so he puts some alchohol on it, and bandages it. He then nods to the boys.

Take care of your friend. I gotta chat with Abby about this.
