Examines the gunshot wound to his leg. While there is blood, the wound is superficial and only a laceration across the skin. The man looks at Burt.

I appreciate the offer, but I would still like to pay my tabs.

Puts a small pouch of gold on the table.

Can you bring over a bottle of whiskey? It can be the cheap stuff.

Also, you wouldn't happen to have a long strip of clean cloth for a bandaid? I'd like to stop bleeding all of your tavern.

Burt hands the man a clean cloth and a bottle of whiskey. Brian says to the man

Hey there, im Brian Panselo, considering you had a run in with the local thieves, and you found out where there hiding out at, id like to help you raid the place if you intend to do so. They stole a good chunk of gold off me, and Sister Ellen will kill me if i come back empty handed. For a nun she can be real scary at times.

Takes the whiskey and cloth.

Thank you.

Takes a quick swig of whiskey and then pours some from the bottle on the wound. A sharp pain courses through the man who groans through clenched teeth.

The man repeats once more, the pain being slightly less.

The man cleans up the wound and than wraps the cloth around it.

There that should be sufficient.

Looks at Brian

I'd stand, but I want the bleeding to stop as soon as possible. Name is John...... Just call me John.

Anyway, yes, I plan on raiding their hideout. I want my key back. I usually don't accept help from people I don't know very well, but I could use the help considering the circumstances.

We will need to scout the Church out. I'm not one to rush into a situation, especially where they on the defensive from our little squable and could become like an animal stuck in the corner with nowhere to go. Situations like that don't turn out very well, plus I don't know the circumstance of why they are using a Church as a hideout.

But first, lets get something to eat and drink. That will give them time to realize we aren't on top of them and drop their defenses enough to scout the Church without drawing attention to ourselves.

John calls over to Burt

As you are a local, what do you know about the thieves. We now know where they are hiding out, but what else do you know about them? Age wise? How many? Do they target specific groups of people?

Burt thinks for a moment

Well truth be told, I spend most of my time in my bar-have to or they might break in while I'm not here and steal from me, so I don't know much about them other then what my customers tell me-and unfortunately many of them have been robbed blind so they can't afford to drink. So I haven't heard much about them.

But what I can tell you, is the group calls themselves the Thorakas Terrors, I know that they have at least several hundred members, though a lot of them I think are orphan kids. I think the governor has a deal with them as he hasn't done jack crap about them, so if you could get to him you might learn a lot more. Don't know who the big leader of them is. Could be the governor for all I know, but as for targets, they go after anyone-man, woman, child, old or young. But they don't touch the noble district-more of a reason I think the governor works with them.

That's about all i can tell you, I might be forgetting something, but If i remember anything else i will tell you.

John reloads his pistol, gets up from the table, leaves the tavern, and heads towards the church.

A light rain begins to fall outside as John reaches the church.

John carefully walks around the perimeter of the church ensuring not to draw attention to himself, while checking for signs of the thieves.

James heads over to the governor's mansion with a rapier and pistol he borrowed from Burt. He decides to watch it to see if anyone shady enters or leaves. After several hours nothing happens and he heads back.

Meanwhile John notices a fair number of people seem to enter and exit the church, mostly young men and boys, carrying various things in and out of the building, there also seem to be quite a few guards at the entrances. Thankfully none notice John.

John heads to the Harbormaster's office. He gives the harbormaster a sealed letter, some gold coins, and instructions. John leaves and quickly makes his way back to the tavern.

John enters the tavern and sits at the bar. Looking at Burt and ensuring that no one else can hear them

They are definitely held up in the church and the local guards are involved. I have eyes on the church, so if anything changes, I will be informed. I have a few men preparing for a raid. Going to move after dusk, until then I wait until my men are ready.

John puts down a few coin.

Can I get a a glass of mead? And if you have something hot to eat, that would be appreciated.
