Emily nods.

Yeah this blade is cursed. Got some real dark magic in it, but it helps me in using voodoo and it cuts through just about anything.

Jack looks around.

Ok your story about your knife is lovely and all, but what about our situation? We need more ships and men for what we are trying to do.

Emily thinks for a bit before speaking.

We don't really need more ships-the king resides in a mansion several miles inland-a ship can't even shoot at it from that distance-we just need men. Now in the event we can't find enough living men to help, I happen to know a pretty powerful voodoo ritual- though its a rather disturbing one that involves reanimating corpses as shallow husks to fight. But this is something I heavily recommend as a LAST resort. The corpses are not all that good at fighting, and they are not very bright, not to mention its possible it could backfire and they would attack us, not the king.

But for now lets do plan A. We can go to some of the more shady places in the port and see about hiring some thugs and hooligans. You and Ellen can do that, I'm gonna go and start preparing some voodoo spells and rituals juuuuust in case-ill be in the market for a while buying ingredients and junk. Cya later.

Emily gets up and leaves the tavern heading to the marketplace.

Jack stands up.

Now hold on! We will need ships to fight the ships guarding the harbor and ships to transport the fighters. Without a lot of ships, we can't transport that many men to the port.

Several figures move outside the tavern, as if they are waiting for someone to exit

Emily sees the men gather around the tavern as she leaves. she has a firm grip on her knife ready react to any attacks.
Ellen walks to Jack and says to him

Jack, we should try to gather men in this port-not get them from others. That would raise way too much suspicion. And what I think our best course of action is to try to get into the king's mansion with a large group of men, kill him, then quickly leave before they sound any alarms. But just in case I will see about getting some more ships just in case, and maybe try to get some people in the fort to help us out with a few volleys. I think Emmie has a spell for that actually.

Ellen waves goodbye to Morgan and starts to think.

Well I'm sure there are a fair few who are loyal to him, and Duke Gumbi should be able to get some volunteers too. I say we divide our group to cover as much ground as possible. The admiral can go and get men from the local guards and fort, I will go to the church and see if I can get recruits there, Jack, you go to the seedier places where the rouges frequent and get men there. Emily after she finishes shopping for her supplies can stay with the Duke and guard him. Until she gets back I will stay with the duke. Does that sound good to you Jack?

The admiral gets up and nods.

Ill go report to the local fort and get started.
