A dark fog starts to roll in behind the armada.

As Jack's ships approach, the gun ports open up in a cascade of fire. Raining down a wall of iron across the surrounded ships. Several ships are sunk instantly as dozens of cannon balls and exploding shells rip into the ships.

The cutter that was along side the Penitent Thief explodes. The Penitent Thief rolls hard to its starboard side, tossing everyone on board around like rag dolls. The ship rights itself but considerable damage to the deck and port side of the ship are visible. The damage appears to only be above the waterline as the ship is not taking on water, but the port side guns are no longer operational and a sizeabl hole exists where the side of the ship meets the deck.

As the a second volley is fired, the fog covers the armada and continues toward the other ships at a very quick pace. The second volley sinks numerous ships and inflicts some damage on Jack's flagship and the other ships. Only a handful of ships outside of those manned by Jack, Ellen, Morgan, Emily, and Space remain. The rate of fire from the armada slows and suddenly stops.

The fog covers the entire area with visibility being only a few feet.

This event will be recorded as the fury of Deznuts

A man looks at the fog, and starts to chant, slowly, the wind rises and blows away the fog
God is dead. Long live the machine.

Thanks for the clearing the fog. I figured that I would likely have to do it myself.

As the fog clears, the armada has seemingly disappeared.

Emily comes back to the Penitent thief smiling as her blood armor comes off. She helps Ellen up and says in a cheery voice.

See sis, I knew it would work out. We won the battle, they ran away.

Ellen grabs her ear and pulls her closer and whispers to her

Honestly Emily, don't do such reckless things in the future without my permission. Do you know how many people died? When we have some alone time I will be punishing you for this.

Emily giggles.

Oh no, punishment for a masochist, please have mercy.

Ellen smiles.

Yes i have a full day of punishment already planned. a full day in church reading the bible and praying.

Emily whines.

UGH but that's so bloody boring.

Ellen replies.

Shush and be prepared for the punishment later.

Ellen picks up any stragglers. Duke Gumi counts the men left of the English fleet. Only about 100 remain. After picking them up Ellen and Emily go to gather all the others to discuss future plans. Ellen speaks first

That went better then expected-we all didn't die, but we need to start planning our next move. The king must be dethroned, but so much of our ships and men are gone now. Right now my crew along with the remaining English are patching the damage up the best they can, but we need to head into St. Martin for repairs. But there is no telling what awaits us there. The alternative is to go back to Baramas, but that is further away at this point, and I do not know if we can make it with this damage.

Morgan climbs ship, his eyes are back to normal.

I am impressed that you beat me to a ship.

So sister what is our plan now?

Emily laughs
Had to hurry back to make sure my sister was okay. Right now we are voting whether to head back to Baramas for repairs or St. Martin. My vote will be whatever Ellen votes.

Ellen thinks for a moment.

I vote St. Martin.

Emily nods.

Then mine is St. Martin as well. that makes 3 for St. Martin. What do you vote Morgan.

My entire journey was made to arrive in St.Martins so my voice goes to St.Martins if we can arrive there...
