Actually the demand was non-player fleet crews and the Duke.

To be fair Dez, you gave no name to the escort, and even had him say if he were killed his employer wouldn't care-so it seemed to me he was a NPC. If you want I can rewrite my post a bit to where he is merely knocked out instead of killed.

And I was correct in my summary. I said they demanded the death of the duke and his men-his men were the NPC crews.

And after seeing how bloody unrealistic this RP is becoming, I think I will introduce a new addition for future RP's where I rate how realistic the RP is meant to be. Ranging from 1 to real life realistic to 5 nearly anything goes. I will probably normally keep them at a 2 or 3, since stories like this should be an occasional goofy treat.

That's actually pretty realistic. A pirate not providing quarter was a common occurrence. When and if they did provide quarter it was within reason and limits to what they could carry on their ships, and they didn't give them the ability to go back to man their ships. Piracy is cruel and harsh. Most deaths as a result of piracy were at the hand of innocents. So any claim that a pirate killing innocents is a load.

@Space, then I guess you didn't feel the wrath.

Where did I say any of those things? My character Ellen being a nun didn't like the fact the envoy planned to kill a large amount of English sailors and the duke for a reason she didn't agree with.

Taking the discussion offline. This is beyond silly.

RPs have to be somewhat realistic or you will find it as a conversation of who can one-up the other the best and the story just gets stupid. That is basically what occurred and why I posted in the manner that I did. I did it to prove a point and here we are.

I agree this RP has gone really out of control when it comes to realism. Which is why I posted a more serious RP to run alongside it-though other then space no one has jumped in yet. And I am having fun with this one, so I will see it to the end, but I think I will go ahead and say this is "non-canon." or only partial canon and this is just the embellished version the people involved in the story tell to make it sound better, but the reality of the battle is much more tame.
