Emily says in a somewhat bored voice

A huge armada has us surrounded, they haven't attacked yet, but we will be talking with them, for now I'm just prepared to fight like my sister ordered. Though I highly doubt I will have to do any fighting. If they wanted us dead they would have blasted us already.

Emily takes out her favorite knife as she begins sharpening it. waiting patiently.

The cutter makes toward the ships and comes along side the Penitent Thief. The envoy boards.

The envoy looks at Sister Ellen.

Call Jack and the captain of the Flag Galleon to your ship. Tell your sister Emily to stand down. Killing or capturing me or any of the crew of the cutter will only guarantee your death. You can tell Morgan to come down from his crows nest as well. Once everyone is here, I will relay my message. And bring over the Duke.

Jack comes over on to the penitent thief. He stands firm near the envoy. He then says coldly

What are your demands?

Ellen does as the envoy asks. Though she can't help but wonder how he knows so much. Most likely more voodoo she thinks to herself. She thinks back to a old technique called a mindbar to protect from such intrusions, though she can't quite remember how to create one, and odds are they might view that as suspicious and blast them all if she does remember and tries it. So she decides to just comply with them.

The envoy looks at Jack.

You are to release the Duke and the Legacy and allow them to continue to St. Martins with a small crew of British sailors. You Jack, will personally select the crew of that ship after all other conditions are met and ensure that the Duke takes a message back to his half-brother. The crew must be just enough to sail the ship. You will let them know that they are being freed to bring the Duke and his message to the King.

You are each to return to your own ships and taking only them, provide escort for the Legacy. At a distance of course. Can't have them thinking you provided safe passage.

All remaining ships and crews will sadly come to an end. They will all be sunk with all lives lost. So if you have anything or anyone worth keeping from those ships, I recommend you make the arrangements necessary quickly.

So where is the Duke? I need to provide the message to him that he must carry.

The envoy looks around for the Duke

Emily shouts up.

Sure, but only if you tell me about that nice sword you got.

She puts her knife away since her sister ordered her to stand down.

The Duke steps forward to take the message. Ellen however steps forward and speaks to the envoy.

Hold on, my original ship was lost in this battle- so I will be claiming the Penitent Thief as my own. And as for the death of all the remaining English men, I must protest to that too. For what reason are we sentencing these men to death? I can not in good conscience as a nun allow all of them to be killed without a good reason.

Jack scowls a the man in such a way that makes some of his men to step back.

Sir, I cannot in good conscience allow you to kill all of these innocent sailors. All of them, pirate or sailor, are men. Not animals you can slaughter at a moments notice!
