Role-Play-Sailing to St. Martin.

Postby Meliva » Sun Jan 14, 2018 1:25 am

Sorry for the delay on this one-real life came up and I had some things to do, but here is the latest Role play.

Now the Rules for this RP are as follows.
1. Try to make things believable and keep to the theme. No aliens, no cowboys, etc. Though supernatural things are fine-Voodoo, and ghosts for example. Mermaids are also fine along with any other myths common at this time period. Just don't fill the story with it.
2. Try to keep things in character. Don't post something unrelated to the RP here. If you don't like this RP, don't complain about it here. Post a new thread or start your own RP thread if you don't like this one. I would actually be quite happy if someone posts a RP of their own so please feel free to do so.
3. You can control your characters actions-You can not control others. NPC's are fair game and anyone can control them, so long as its believable and in character. A guard for example shouldn't just up and decide to shoot an orphan for no reason-that is out of character.
4. You are allowed to have multiple characters- but be reasonable. Don't flood the story with a bunch of your characters. 2 or 3 in one story is fine, anything past that is sort of pushing it unless you are really good at managing them.
5. Use Italics for actions, and use Quotation marks for speaking. Also use paragraphs when needed.
5. The most important rule- Have fun.

Next post begins the RP.

A large fleet of English are is currently on route to St. Martin. A man of war titled The Legacy is the capital ship carrying a very important royal on a very important diplomatic mission. 4 Ship of the line and a few dozen frigates and Brigs escort the ship, along with a large variety of smaller support ships serving as advanced scouts and spotters. There are words that pirates may attempt a kidnapping and thus they are taking many precautions. The weather has been fair, but all the crew remain wary. Meanwhile in the brig of the ship currently locked up is Sister Ellen, her sister Emily and about a dozen other prisoners suspected of various crimes. One of them look to Ellen and says in a gruff voice.

The hell did a nun do to get locked up in here.

Sister Ellen sighs and replies.

Well apparently they wish to question me on what I know of Jack Teach and any other pirates I may or may not be familiar with. Thankfully they wouldn't dare torture a nun or her family, so I am not too worried.

Emily frowns
If we hadn't taken damage to our sail and mast we could have escaped this fleet with ease.

Ellen pater her reassuringly.
Do not worry sister, we will be fine, they have nothing on us, and with my charity work even if they did I could get us out of here without too much trouble. For now lets just wait and watch.

Now for those who wish to join there are several ways. You can join as another prisoner in one of the ships(doesn't have to be the same one as Ellen) or as a sailor for one of the English ships, Arrive on your own vessel(but be aware it has to be believable, this fleet has scouts all over so you can't just say My ship sails next to the Legacy.).

Far away....on a vessel cloaked by the fog, a eye looks at the fleet through a telescope

jack teach and his fleet are waiting for the English ships to arrive. The English are outmanned and outgunned and will likely be defeated in an extremely bloody battle. Jack has replaced a good amount of his fleet with large frigates, which means that there are 25 flag galleons, 24 frigates, and one first rate ship of the line. Jack paces about the deck calling out orders and prays that the heavy fog will stay, otherwise voodoo must be used. The English will, hopefully, not know who hit them. The ships are dormant now, but in a couple of days, the night may well become day with gunfire. Jack smiles
Oh he was so foolish to step off dry land!

Jack laughs

Back in the brig of the Legacy Ellen and Emily are quietly talking to each other in a corner away from the other prisoners. Emily whispers

Sis, I have a plan, I have a knife I smuggled in, I can kill the other prisoners, and when the guards come in, I can kill them too, then we sneak out, and hold the king hostage until we are safely away.

Ellen shakes her head and whispers back.

Sis, like I said they have nothing on us, and if they did I could still get us off with little to no punishment. If we do your plan then it would take the lord himself to clear our names after that. But in a worse case scenario we can do that if things go south.

Emily whines

But I'm so BORED. I wish something would happen already.

The fleet continues sailing, but upon noticing fog up ahead begin to divert there path to avoid it fearing an ambush. They begin discussing perhaps docking in Baramas until the weather clears. The king approves and the fleet begins turning to start heading south.

Jack watches the fleet turn to baramas through a spyglass.

Damn!

Jack orders the fleet to set sail and keep quiet. The fleet will ambush the king's ships before they reach their destination. They will not know what hit them.

The admiral of the fleet comes into the Brig, he says in a commanding voice.

Sister Ellen, and Miss Emily. The king has decided the 2 of you are free to go. Your ship has been used as a scout ship for us, but will be returned. The condition however is you 2 will be commanding it under his lordships service, until he safely arrives in his destination. Your crew will be remained locked up so you don't think to escape. Also we rather disliked the crude name of your ship so it has been renamed and relabeled the Queenly Pawn.

The admiral has a captain lead them to the ports side and helps them into their ship. They are told to have the ship sail 15 nautical miles behind the Legacy, and to keep an eye out for any other ships the captain will be with them watching to make sure they do not disobey. The 2 sisters decide to follow along and have their ship sail to their position. Emily says happily.

Finally free of that bloody brig, I was about to kill all those smelly pirates out of boredom.

Ellen whispers to her.

Well Jack will probably be coming to attack this fleet, and those bloody bastards went and changed the name of my cutter. So if he see this ship, flying the English flag he will probably decide to sink it not knowing the 2 of us are here. So be prepared to start swimming at a moments notice.

Emily nods and the 2 sisters begin going about sailing the ship, keeping an eye out for any other ships or fleets.

As jack's fleet is sailing along, one of jack's men sees the cutter. Jack orders them to be boarded. The flagship if jack pulls up close to the cutter, a grappling hook is thrown, catching it and pulling it towards the ship. The cutter is pulled up alongside and boarded. The cutter is now completely disconnected from the fleet, none of the convoy will hear.

As the cutter is being hooked Emily quickly begins stabbing the other crew on the ship, Ellen helps by punching them, the captain quickly locks himself inside the captain quarters and blocks the door. Ellen sighs before coming up to the deck as Jacks men start boarding. Thankfully most of them recognize her and don't immediately attack. Ellen shouts to the flagship

Hey Jack, its Ellen, I got some information you might find useful, though I could use your help right quick.
