The Avonmora Secret Society still does not support the summit. Over reactions, temper tantrums, extreme levels of butthurt, silly feuds, name calling, never ending wars, attacking your enemies neighbors, and ridiculous forum topics filled with insult memes are a vital part of the culture. Any limitations to the such would be detrimental to the Avonmora Culture.

+1 to what Shadowood stated.

This was just an idea I had for Guild Wars that were fun and safe, but had elements of strategy involved.

CJ had something else in mind further back that included a Point System. Not quite sure about that idea. Its had some decent points in it... I would need to read through it once again.

lamo, it is pretty funny that the U.N. threatens to kick us out, and we were providing 22 percent of the UN budget in 2015, and 28 percent of the peacekeeping budget.

Some of what PhoenixKnight is saying has merit. but I doubt it will garner much support. War is a dirty business, and i Avonmora I find it quite boring. There is no skill involved, it relies almost entirely on voodoo and the only real consequence, when all is said and done, is lost gold and wasted voodoo.

I am no martyr by any means. I have used the tools available to me, but I do believe something new needs to be infused into this.

PhoenixKnight is right, to many times a simple personal beef between two players draws in other people, guilds and Nations. I am guilty of it as well. I think the only real answer is a development of new game mechanics. I do not portend to be nearly smart enough to know in what form that should be, but I do know something is needed.

Seamanship, actual battle strategy, port blockades, port defense, and yes , even foot troops of some sort have all been discussed and all have merit. But if all were implemented, what would be lost.

This is a voodoo game now. simply cast a few cards to achieve your goals.

The UN can't kick the USA out. It's a permanent member. The only way the USA leaves the UN is if the President pulls out of the treaty, which isn't going to happen as we can just ignore the UN and veto everything.

The UN would collapse without US Monetary Support. Any threat they have is just wishful thinking on their behalf. Additionally, if the USA left the UN, the UN would have to move their headquarters. Under the treaty, the land that they sit on was a donation by the Rockefeller family and would be immediately returned to them upon absolvence of the treaty. As well all immunity for UN Members would end as it is only granted via the treaty. NYPD would be very happy, as there are a lot of unpaid parking tickets and other fines that they would then be able to collect.

Like I said above, not going to happen. So the UN can just pound sand.

So, you think UN only exist to approve all of USA decisions? Unfortunately, most of time it have done (especially those so called peacekeeping)...
Edit... I see you edited your post and i haven't quoted you...so this sentence refers to your comment on the veto.

So a bunch of 3rd world dictators that hate Israel and think the USA is there pocket book?

Let's go back to the topic...
I like the idea, mostly because of exchange of views. It would be good to separate Nations wars and guilds wars and to find a mechanism to prevent individuals of provoking ''apocalyptic'' wars, although the wars in Avonmora revive a forum, which is (in my opinion), more interesting than the game itself. :)

No, the UN isn't there to support just the US and its decisions. Although your picture sorta proves my point. That's a bulk of the UN that supports Anti-Israel proposals. Should the USA support it, just because a good chunk hate Israel. There is also a difference between resolutions brought to a general assembly vote and those that are brought to a Security Council Vote. The security council has 5 permanent members all with Veto power and 10 non-permanent members.

USA support of the UN comes at the behest of what is beneficial to the security of the USA first. If your nation doesn't think of its security first, than its foolish. When you leave your home, do you lock your door. I'm sure you don't go running around the neighborhood, locking everyone else's door while leaving yours wide open.

BUT, yes lets get back to the real discussion.

You equate hatred with common sense. We (our country) do not hate Israel (although after the Western peace actions in the former Yugoslavia we entered a group of third countries of the world, or it is better to say, we have become one of your satellites and have many "consultants"). Yet, common sense is common sense.
Do you think that almost all European politicians represent a bunch of 3rd world dictators? Or Asians, South Americans ...?

When you leave your home, do you lock your door. I'm sure you don't go running around the neighborhood, locking everyone else's door while leaving yours wide open.

Believe me or not, we never had to lock our door when running the neighborhood, in time I lived in YU. This custom came with our ''political awareness'' or so called democracy... not before...

And... as usual, we endangered the main topic... :)
