Kaipur takes out a pretty long fuse, and he starts setting up all his barrels of Rum and spare Gunpowder in a large pile. He sets the fuse and shouts.

Once everyone is out, I will light this fuse, in a few minutes this place will blow, and if we are lucky it might hurt or scare the Kraken off. Very unlikely but if nothing else it should distract it for a bit.

[DezNutz]

Ok, lets go. In case we get separated, we are heading to the top of the hill north of town. It's a distance, but it will be beyond the flood areas. There is a pirate hideout up there, or at least I hope there still is.

[Meliva]

Kaipur watches as all the men and women who took shelter in the tavern gear up and head out the back. He then lights the match and quickly rushes out with them. At this point the water is up to his waist. He grabs onto another man and shouts as load as he can.

Hold onto each other for support. Don't take out your weapons unless you need to.

[Jack Teach]

Jack and his men wait start heading for that location.

Well, come on then, no time for dilly-dallying.

The cloaked man looks at the kraken, who was close to destroying the fort, and sees a black marking on its head
So it is you...

Kaipur looks back to see the fort completely levelled, and the Kraken starting to touch his tavern, and then there is a huge expolsion within, the Kraken roars in pain and is actually knocked back a small bit though it quickly recovers. The water is nearly at his chest now, but they are getting closer to the hill which should be much safer.

[DezNutz]

After 20 minutes of walking, sliding, and fighting torrential rains. John and the group reaches the top of the hill. At the eastern edge of the hill, a large stone building covered in vegetation can barely be made out. Jack quickly makes his way over to it and forces the door open. The building is clearly abandoned but is still in good condition. The building is an old pirate tavern that overlooks the town and port.

The kraken then starts to move toward the escaping group, his tentacles pulling him foward

John looks at the group.

We clearly have a problem as the kraken is following us.

Kaipur shouts while securing the tavern.

Yeah pretty sure he is hiding something, but lets start securing this place while we talk.
