As Kaipur and several other men are blocking the windows, several people duck into the tavern seeking shelter. Kaipur looks to John and Jack as he struggles to close a window. He shouts.

Mates for the love of the Lord, have your little argument later when a bloody hurricane and monster ISN"T hitting the port.

[Jack Teach]

John gets up and helps Kaipur secure the tavern.

Well I guess that puts a small damper into my plans.

I don't think it be wise to go closer to the water.

Kaipur directs some of the unarmed men to grab some weapons from his stash. A few guards had also ducked in for shelter. Kaipur then grabs a bunch of raincoats from the back.

Fellas, I don't think we should stay here. As you may have noticed this tavern is very close to the ocean. Not as close as the fort, but its still pretty close. Odds are after the fort is smashed we would be next. And I have doubts that my tavern can keep a Kraken's tentacles out. But I also don't think we should split up, so perhaps a vote is in order. Who thinks it better to stay here and fight, and who think it better to head inland.
