Role-Play- Party In Pania

Postby Meliva » Tue Jan 09, 2018 8:01 pm

Alright as Promised the New roleplay is now Open.

Here are the rules.

Now the Rules for this RP are as follows.
1. Try to make things believable and keep to the theme. No aliens, no cowboys, etc. Though supernatural things are fine-Voodoo, and ghosts for example. Mermaids are also fine along with any other myths common at this time period. Just don't fill the story with it.
2. Try to keep things in character. Don't post something unrelated to the RP here. If you don't like this RP, don't complain about it here. Post a new thread or start your own RP thread if you don't like this one. I would actually be quite happy if someone posts a RP of their own so please feel free to do so.
3. You can control your characters actions-You can not control others. NPC's are fair game and anyone can control them, so long as its believable and in character. A guard for example shouldn't just up and decide to shoot an orphan for no reason-that is out of character.
4. You are allowed to have multiple characters- but be reasonable. Don't flood the story with a bunch of your characters. 2 or 3 in one story is fine, anything past that is sort of pushing it unless you are really good at managing them.
5. Use Italics for actions, and use Quotation marks for speaking. Also use paragraphs when needed.
5. The most important rule- Have fun.

The next post begins the story.

A cloaked man walks down the street, followed by wolves, he walks to a dock and places a small metal ball, radiating with mysterious power into the sea
Rise, old friend, rise and rejoice

Things are going great in the port of Pania, with the troubles in Tortuga and the pirates taking Regis, Many traders abandoned their routes in those ports and have taken up Pania instead. Businesses are booming, the people are happy and thanks to a good harvest the port ended up producing over 3 times as much rum as they normally do. The governor a very old man by the name of Peter Peterson decides to celebrate he would host a huge festival-the likes of which have never been seen before-a month long festival filled with a large variety of things to do.

He imports a large amount of delicious food from Goroum, high quality tobacco from Hannes and a large variety of all sorts of entertainers. From jesters to acrobats, and plenty of women to fill a newly built brothel. The local stock of rum is being sold at an all time low, as the citizens cheer and drink.

The governor even sent invites to every other port in Avonmora announcing the festival, which he has decided to name the Golden Mug festival. The streets are full of people from all over, drinking, smoking, singing and partaking in all sorts of various acts of debauchery and pleasure. Meanwhile in one of the local taverns, called the Mermaid's Moore a young man by the name of Kaipur Knightly is serving as the bartender. He is very upset-as the festival is providng so much rum very few people are in his tavern. Mostly just people who prefer not to be seen or are unable to deal with the crowds.

A couple miles up the coast, Captain Jack Teach's flagship is moored, jack then with a convoy of his men walks to the city, several people cast weary glances in his direction, he ignores them. Jack then walks into the tavern and ignores any glances this way. He walks up to the bar.

Rum, give me the bottle.

Jack puts the coins on the table.

A squad of guards approach the strange man. The captain steps forward and says in a formal voice.

"Sir, we received reports of a strange man doing strange things. What exactly are you doing out here."

Meanwhile back at the tavern Kaipur hands Jack a bottle. He looks a bit happy.

Finally more paying customers. The festival is fun and all but hardly anyone is buying rum in here. And its going to be going on for a bloody month. Going to be a very bad month for business.

Kaipur starts cleaning a few mugs as he looks out the window to the festival.

A group of 5 men move quickly but quietly through the fields of grain toward the storehouse. The grain covers their movement and conceals their presence. The men stop at the edge of the field and evaluate their surroundings. The leader of the group says:

Looks like we have 4 guards to neutralize. One at the storehouse door and two more on a roving patrol. We will neutralize the roving patrol first....

One of the men interrupts.

Sir, that's only 3 guards. You said there are 4.

The leader looks over and says:

Shut it, there is always 1 in the storehouse. We need to be quiet when taking out the 3 outside. As I said before we take out the patrol first, then the guard at the door. The guy inside will be the hardest, especially if he knows we are coming, but I have a way to get him to come to us without drawing attention to there being an issue.

Understand?

The men nod in agreement and move into position.

The roving patrol moves around to the rear of the storehouse and stops facing away from the fields. Two of the men grab them from behind, pulling them into the field, and knocking them unconscious. The two men step out of the field and continue around the storehouse. As they approach the front, they start whistling a tune. The guard turns toward the whistling, giving the other two men a chance to grab him. The guard's mouth is covered but is held still.

The leader walks up to him and puts a knife to the guards groin.

Listen, if you want to make it out of this with your little friends still dangling between your legs, you will do exactly as I say. Do you understand?

The guard in complete fear nods his head. The leader continues:

When I tell my friend to uncover your mouth, your are not going to scream or warn your buddy inside. What you will do is ask him to bring out a drink. Do you understand?

The guard acknowledges. The men uncover the guards mouth and allow him to speak. Once finished, the guards mouth is covered. A few moments go by and the door swings open. The inside guard, holding a bottle of rum says:

Johnny, here is your.....

A fist lands square across the guards face knocking him out. The men drag the guards into the storehouse and tie them up.

The storehouse is filled with barrels of rum. The leader says:

Get the carts and load them up. We only have time to make one trip, so fill the carts to the max.

After a short time, two carts are loaded with rum barrels. The leader says:

Take them to the docks and load them on the ship. Once done, set sail for St. Martins. I will meet up with you guys later. I have business to attend to.

The 4 men head off toward the docks. The leader heads back into the storehouse.

He walks up behind the tied up guard who is still conscious and draws one of his 6 pistols and cocks it. The guard stirs and tries to beg for his life through the gag.

I never said you were going to live through it, I just said that your balls would remain between your legs. You were a deadman the second you saw my face.

BOOM!

The guard slumps over dead.

The man kneels down next to the dead guard. The man says a pray, stands, and leaves the storehouse heading toward the local tavern.

Kaipur sets the mugs down.

Well, theres the group of 5 in the corner over there, 3 men in the rooms upstairs, and the man currently passed out drunk next to your spot. So 9. Granted I don't know if they are pirates. Sometimes bums and other shady individuals come here.

Jack looks at them and laughs.

Sir, if those are pirates, then I'm the pope!
