Several hours pass. Mr. White enters the tavern. He looks around and finds the table where Ellen, Emily, and Jack are seated. He walks over to the bartender at the bar and hands him a large pouch of gold and talks to him for a minute. The bartender walks over to the table and tells Jack, Ellen, and Emily to please stay seated, and that Mr. White will be over shortly

Before a response can be given, the bartender moves away and starts to clear out the tavern of all other guests. He closes all the shutters on the windows and bolts the door. After the tavern is secure, he returns to Mr. White and hands him a bottle of scotch and a glass. Mr. White walks over and sits down at the table.

Sorry for taking so long. I hope you understand my need for secrecy and safety.

Mr. White pours a glass of Scotch and takes a drink

I've spoken to my contacts. It isn't good. So before I say anything further take a drink.

Mr. White sips his scotch and looks at Ellen

The two guards involved have ties to both the Governor and the local pirates. You likely saw them the other day when you met with the Governor. The local pirates had advanced warning you were coming and when you would be coming. The guys you hit were a raiders party from Akrotiri, they were criminals, but not your local pirates.

Mr. White takes another sip and looks towards Jack.

The three pirates are members of your 5000 man force that landed here the other day. The two guards likely recruited them, but there is intel that they may have relatives with the local pirates as well.

Mr. White finishes the glass off and refills it. Then looks at all of them.

It gets worse. The governor appears to be on the payroll of the local pirates. I don't think he is just taking kickbacks and looking the other way. Intel suggests he may be authorizing their actions. The whole take out the local pirates thing may have been a setup. I'm waiting on further intel from my contacts to confirm.

Mr. White looks at Jack

Don't even think about taking over the port. Instability here would be devastating. If the governor is involved beyond taking payouts, there are ways to deal with that without causing major issues.

Takes another sip of Scotch

Now the good news. We have a possible location of where they are likely hiding There are a set of caves along the western coast that are an known for being difficult to navigate through. It is an excellent location to hide out at.

Mr. White finishes off his second glass and refills.

Any questions, that I may have not answered with what I have provided.

Ellen thinks for a moment.

Just 2. Do you have the names of the men who set the orphanage on fire, and when do you think we should attack the local pirates? Depending on when we plan to strike I may have to take care of something first.

Mr. White pulls out a small book and opens it to a page that appears to be filled with gibberish.

Two of the three pirates are no names. The only name I got was the one with the scar. His buddies called him Scarface, but his real name is Anthony M. Tana.

The time of the raid is up to you. I doubt they are going to be heading anywhere, so there is no rush. I don't see them leaving a hiding place such as that while the heat on them is high. Plus there is a storm moving in and those caves are treacherous to those not familiar with them.

Looks at Jack

Getting to them is the easy part, it's navigating the insides which is the hard part, which is why they make a great hideout. As well, there are multiple entry and exit points.

I've been around in those caves as well. It used to be MY hideout, but after I nearly got caught I selected a new one. I know the best entrance and a couple secret one's I'd need be.

Ellen looks to Jack.

With 5000 men He should be able to cover all the entrances and exits pretty easy. But I don't suppose you have the names of the 3 who disobeyed orders? if you do please tell Jack so he may execute them. I suggest we raid them first thing tomorrow morning. It is getting close to night now. I will go and tell my men that we will be launching another raid. Now if you will excuse me, I think i will go for a moonlit walk with my sister. We have things to discuss between ourselves. Good day gentlemen.

The 2 sisters quickly leave into the night.

As you appear to have this at hand, I will take my leave. If you need anything else, just stop by my cottage.

Mr. White signals to the bartender to re-open the tavern. Mr. White leaves out the back for his cottage.

Shortly before midnight the governor finishes some paper work. He shouts to his maids to run him a bath. As he steps out of his office he notices Ellen smiling at him just outside his door He is in shock before speaking.

Sister Ellen, what are you doing in my house at this hour.

Ellen continues smiling as she takes a step forward and speaks in a cold voice.

I am here because I don't like it when people endanger my children. I know the truth now.

The governor shouts for his guards, only for Emily to walk with a bloody knife.

They won't be coming any time soon. All the other servants have been sent home early.

The 2 sisters grab the governor, and drag him off. The next morning they both meet up with Jack outside the tavern, both looking very happy. Ellen nods to Jack

You ready to get these guys?
