Jack turns to Emily and smiles weakly. So, I myself had come to Tortuga to: visit the place, make profit, visit me wife, and possibly...wreak some havoc. I had planned a bit of highway robbery, I asked Harold if he wanted to come, he said yes. So, about 20 of me men, and Harold and I, lay in wait for the governor's daughter of prote's carriage to come along, we first attacked the wrong carriage, then we attacked the right one. A snake scarred of the horses of the carriage, good ol' captain Harold chased after them, but the guards shot his horse. He fell, hitting his head on a rock and also managed to stab himself on a sword someone had left there. We chased after the carriage, and robbed it. I then sent me men off with the prisoners to me hideout along the coast, where they will be ransomed. It all happened so quickly that I had forgotten about him, one of me crew walked over to the man. It was a sorry sight to see, he died happy however, bless his old heart, he was a great man. Jack crosses himself. But, even if we got to him quickly, we still wouldn't have been able too save him. We made some fine profit and I plan to make sure his name stays in the books of history, I will be writing a biography of him, someday.

The 2 sisters listen to Jack's story, when he finishes they both fall silent for a moment, until Emily speaks up.

"Well at least he had one last adventure, and he had a fuller life then most."

Ellen nods in agreement, as she gets up and begins taking the corpse away, she turns to Jack as she leaves.

"I read in his will how he wanted his services done. I will take care of that now, it will be held a few days from now, Emily will be in charge of sorting his possessions."

The 2 sisters go off to take care of their respective jobs, leaving Jack alone in the tavern with the other patrons.

Jack goes for a stroll around when he sees a terrible sight, a list of pirates th governor is offering bounties. He at first strolls right by, but then he sees his name at the top. Jack immediately bolts to the tavern, trying to be avoided by the town guards. Jack knew he hadn't caused this problem with trade, he HAD taken the place over, but when he did it, places made a ton of money, even the churches made more when he took a place over. Still, he had been a prominent buccaneer in Tortuga for awhile, meaning that even if he hadn't caused this problem, he still would be at the top of the list of any bounty hunters target list. He runs to the tavern and closes the door. He hoped Ellen would get down here soon, he had know idea how this would factor into her plan. Then men burst through the door, one of them holds up a wanted poster with Jack's face and bounty on it.

Have any of ye seen this man

Jack covers his face with his tricorne, but he puts his hand on his cutlass hilt, itching to attack.

Click...Boom. Click...Boom

Two shots ring out, the two guards that entered the tavern fall over dead.

The older man sits back down, reloads and holsters his pistols.

Don't just stand there looking stupid. Grab the bodies and dump them in the cart out back.

The older man returns back to playing an unknown card game.

several more break into the door and point rifles at the old man.

Don't move!

Jack saunters forward as if he's going to leave the tavern, then he stabs the first guard in the neck with his cutlass, he proceeds to kill the rest with his cutlass in a blur, the guards fall, not one of them knew what happened. Jack walks back to his seat and continues to drink his rum as if nothing happened.

Bloody fools, thinking that they could take me...

As no other guard saw the older man kill the two guards nor did any of the other tavern customers speak to the other guards, the other guards wouldn't know who shot them. They could have came in pointing at anyone, and more likely would have pointed them at Jack, as he is a wanted pirate.

The more plausible story is that additional guards came in and started making demands on who killed the two guards, only to be killed by Jack and his imagination.

The older man laughs heartedly, takes a swig of his whiskey, and goes back to his card game.
