What Shadow wrote isn't true reality. merc was worried that the peace offered by Shadowood will not last. I asked Shadowood to offer a way to guaranty or at the very lease help us see how this peace will be maintained and as Shadow had no will to do that he asked me to give him an idea as to what could help us trust the peace will be lasting. I had few ideas that shadow took upon himself to misrepresent (and claim they where demands) and instead of trying to understand why we are worried and find it hard to trust his word he decided to write his post that does not only betray the trust that is placed around the negotiation table but also betrays the trust you all give his word, assuming there is truth behind them.

What really sits in the base of this war is the code Vudu are following. That code states that guild members are free to do what ever they like to. be it attacking players, guilds or even nations Vudu will stand behind its member, defend him and fight the outcome of his actions. While this might sound nice and libertarian the end result of that code that Vudu members can actively initiate and/or participate in a prolong hostility (aka war) while being able to hide behind his guild when he the heat is to high.

There is so much wrong with this response it is hilarious.

#1 Name one guild that does not "stand behind it's members". In fact, Mercs own motto is guild before all else. Guild before Friends Guild before nation.

#2 Merc is the one that started involving nation action in this. Merc was the one that has been attacking influence from day 1.

#3 The genesis of this whole action was Pulpops demand that VUDU kick out 1 or 2 of its members because of the relationship with a third person. When you couldn't get to that third person you went after ancillary targets by association.

#4 You initially made the demand that to end the war VUDU must agree to not attack merc members in any way for 30 days while giving no assurances that merc would not attack VUDU in anyway. plunder board excluded.

There is something you still do not understand to this day.you DO NOT run Avonmora. You do not dictate what other nations/ guilds do or who they have as members. Your actions and words have rung hollow from day 1. You send an email saying you do not wish to involve certain members of VUDU in your actions then within 24 hours you attack the very people you said you would not involve. The only person misrepresenting things here is you. The funny thing is, you are so blinded by your ego that you do not even see it.

I guess we should all just lay down and let Pulpop write the game rules. Hell you even made the demand that Shadow step down as guild leader.

There is one big difference here. Anyone who knows or has played with Shadowood, knows and respect him at his word. It would be hard to find many players outside Merc that trust you at your word.

Mercs very nature is that they can not be trusted in anything they say or anything they do.

Let's turn this around for a second and make the same demands of Merc for peace.

#1 Merc must kick out Zeph because of something susy Q did 6 months ago.
#2 Pulpop must step down
#3 Merc can not attack or cast on any VUDU member for the next 30 days even if they have a proposed contract. Exception plunder board.
#4 Merc must change its guild rules
#5 Merc must not help any of its members when they come under attack for any reason.

That in essence is what you were asking of VUDU.

And you have the balls to call out Shadow.

For the record, I stated an end date to the war. I reached out to facilitate it, I offered to publicly throw in the towel first (regardless of who thinks who is winning). I have said many times now that VUDU would like a cease fire so both sides can get back to enjoying other game features.

This all went up in smoke because of your ego. And because you can’t trust.

If I may offer an alternative.

Shadowood doesn’t step down as guild leader.

If dman helps xpro, MERC will notify VUDU guildmaster Shadowood with a notice of intention of action with proof 24 hours in advance, thus allowing Shadowood to investigate the legitimacy of the claim.
If Shadowood determines that MERC has valid claims, VUDU sits back for retaliation for a period that is a minimum of 24 hours and no more than 72 hours.
If Shadowood disagrees with the validity of the claim, both sides seek mediation with a neutral third party with hopes of resolution for a period of 48 hours.
Should mediation fails, MERC is entitled to attack with expectation of VUDU backing dman for a period that lasts a minimum of 24 hours and does not exceed 72 hours. After that, a cease fire ensues and neither side has the right to complain about damages from the incident.

Violation of the agreement merits 100 million gc penalty and 1000 credits due paid by the violator to the other party of the agreement
