Jack turns to Harold. Was just asking, wanted see how bold said pirates were. There's not a man in this room, besides you, who can compare in piratical finesse to me. Savvy? I'm just really damned curious about interesting things going on here, the most interesting thing I have seen here made me vomit. Speaking of which, hold on. Jack gets up to inspect the wounds on the man. Jack looks at the several knife wounds, deep ones, cut by a serrated knife. Jack helps the man back to his seat and calls for a doctor, his ship's doctor comes and saves his life. Jack walks back and sits with Harold. Never thought about about threatening a barmaid before... Jack says this in a relatively quiet voice so only Harold can hear.

All of a sudden there is a soft creepy giggling from behind Jack. Emily is looking at him, with a disturbing smile and a very sadistic gleam in her eyes. She walks up to him. She speaks in a very sinister yet joyful tone. I owe you my thanks. I had plan to kill that man after playing with him for a while. But when you stopped me, I realized something. It will be far more cruel to let him live. He is blind and thanks to the venom on my knife, his hands will have to be amputated soon. She giggles a little-happy with how sad the man's life will be. She then smiles even broader and says to Jack I am a very evil sadistic woman, but I never start anything. But when someone else starts something with me, they tend to have a bad time. So if you behave you and me will be the best of friends. Her eyes gleam and she says in a sinister voice still smiling Of course if you start something I can think of a lot of fun things to do. She quickly leaves to continue work. Harold looks to Jack. He drinks a bit of rum says to him Word of advice-that woman has very good hearing, and can move around very fast and very quietly. I been around a 100 years, and I have never seen a woman half as disturbing as her. Just never break any of the rules, and she will never touch you, not even so much as a finger. Granted she will say creepy disturbing things still-like she just did. But she won't touch you.

Jack turns to Emily. I'm not afraid of you, also, I don't make friends with sadists and people that take delight in harming others. Jack turns stone so you can take your offer of "friendship" to hell, you slimy cur! I cannot believe you did that to man for only touching you! I once met a woman like you, cruel, violent, and evil woman. She even could to lift up men twice her size. She attacked me, I had no weapons, she still left that place in a box! So you had best watch yourself. Savvy? If I see any violent behavior towards anyone in my company coming from you, I'll have no choice but to string you from the yardarm! Jack then continues to drink rum and scowl.

Emily giggles for a moment, then she looks to Jack and says. You're so feisty and aggressive, I absolutely LOVE it. And as for that man, why shouldn't I have done what I did? The rules clearly warned against such an action. She then gets teary eyed and in a small, whimpering weak voice says What was I supposed to do when the big mean pirate broke the rules. Her eyes clear up as she laughs once more and her voice goes back to being sinister. And I am glad you are not afraid of me. Its so BORING when people are always afraid of the mean little girl. And I am also quite looking forward to hell, I wonder if ill see you there. Her eyes close and she shudders a bit before speaking in a cold dark voice Just the thought of it- the flames coursing over my body immolating me ,CONSUMING me, the screams of trillions of souls begging for mercy they will never receive. Her eyes open once more and she looks to Jack completely FILLS me with ecstasy. She hangs up her apron and heads upstairs to her room, having finished her shift. Harold pats Jack on the shoulder and says to him Young'un lemme give you some advice on Emily. Don't play her game. Do not speak with her, do not fight her, just follow the rules and ignore her. If she feels like she is getting under your skin, she will take pleasure in it and keep doing it. And tell any of your crew who come in to follow the rules. Eventually Emily will get bored if you don't play her game and she will move on.

Jack turns to Harold. My crew has rules, they follow them. But if she decides to hurt my crew or me, she WILL pay! Damn it man, how do you tolerate such an insane woman in this bloody tavern? she's a sadist and apparently, a masochist as well! I'm not playing a game with her, this warning is just that, a waning! If she wants to play a game, let her try! She will soon learn that I meself, don't mess around at all. I'm fully capable of delivering any kind of wrath I like upon this woman but, I'm more inclined to help her rather than kill her. But mate, if she does anything like that again, I'm taking my money back, and someone is going to have a very nasty cutlass wound, you mark my words!

Harold sighs.-doesn't matter if you think its a game or not, its a game to her-and the only way to get her to stop is to not play. Like I said, have you and your crew obey the tavern rules and ignore her. She will never hurt you or your men unless they break one of the rules while in this tavern. Also I do not own this tavern, I just drink here all the time. Burt's the owner-ask him why he has her on staff. Burt serves Harold some more rum. He looks to Jack 2 reasons mainly why I keep her here. First of all she is Ellen's sister-and Ellen is a good friend of mine I owe a lot to. So she asked me to give Emily a job, so I did. I can not fire her without breaking my promise. Second-she only hurts others when they break the rules. Which makes her a very good enforcer of the rules here- Look at the pirates. After what she did they all started behaving out of fear. And like she said-the rules are written clear as day over there on the sign. They have no one to blame but themselves. Besides she ain't all bad. She actually likes to bake sweets for kids and she never hurts them, or anyone else when they are around. Also no refunds no matter what. Burt points to the sign, near the bottom corner it reads no refunds under any circumstances.

jack scowls at Burt. Don't you think blinding a man and poisoning him so that he will loose limbs IS A BIT ******* MUCH? Also, who the hell said a thing about me ASKING for money back? Oh and don't threaten me with the barmaid, because she would have already payed the price for for her overreaction: death! Jack walks over to another seat and drinks by himself.

Burt grunts. First of all yeah it was excessive. But the man was an idiot. First he groped her despite the sign warning doing so will get you stabbed, then after she removed the knife he moved to attack her until she blinded him. But instead of stopping there he began trying to swing at her wildly after he was blinded. Second of all, it was YOU who mentioned getting money back. You said and I Quote- "If she does anything like that again, I'm taking my money back." I don't know if your just drunk or have a very bad memory because you literally said that less then a bloody minute ago. Third, I do not need Emily's help to handle people. I had to do so for 20 years before she came here. If you or your crew don't like her, just don't talk to her and obey the rules and she will never lay a finger on any of you, break them and I am not responsible for what she decides to do. We have that bloody sign for a reason.

Jack leans forward. Stabbing... is not the correct punishment for groping. Jack pays for a room. He locks the door, he barricades it, he then goes to sleep with a cutlass in his hand.

If you ask me, Jack, he had it coming. I'm with Emily on this one. He disrespected her, and he ate the dirt for his life for it. At least his kids will learn.
