If any of you want weapons, I still have the keys to the Navy’s cache, apearantly they forgot to confiscate it before throwing me off the ship for treason.

The older man looks toward William while leaning on his now sheathed cane sword.

If I were shooting at you ,William, you wouldn't be talking to me right now. You know that I hit what I aim at. Let's keep this short and sweet for the time being as we are standing on a street corner. I'd prefer to keep my private business ventures out of the public eye and your tail here is like a box of exploding fireworks.

The older man shifts back into the shadows

I have a large house and small plantation just outside of town. It is fully stocked. You are free to stay there as long as you need, William. The perimeter is guarded by the military. You will be able to get in without issue, as the gate guards know you. Jack, however, is a very wanted man especially after his fiasco in Seaglory and his poor actions earlier. He will have to sneak in on his own, as they won't look the other way for him.

I still have business in town to attend to, and even more now since, Jack can't stop making a scene. I will be by the house later. If you need anything, just ask Maryanne. She will arrange for anything you need until I return.

The old man, turns towards the governor's house and slowly walks away. A small metal clink can be heard as his cane strikes the ground with each step.

Poor actions? Poor actions? I was trying to keep that man quiet so he wouldn't alert guards to our presence. Again, your complete lack of information astounds me! Also, we are in a bloody safe house and we are doing just fine here!

The older man spins around grabbing Jack by the throat and pinning him to the wall with his left forearm. With his right hand he slides a knife to Jacks neck. With clenched teeth the old man says,

Don't let my age and cane fool you boy. I've drank more whiskey, spilled more blood, and banged more quiff than you and your entire crew put together. There are many ways to alleviate an issue that doesn't draw attention to yourself. You run around like a giant gorilla, just smashing everything you see on the guise of I was trying to help. Hey look at me. Why don't you just shut your mouth and listen for once. Your actions are just drawing attention to yourself.

The older man releases Jack and pushes him to the side. He looks back at William.

You better straighten your friend out, cause he is going to get you killed.

The older man picks up his cane and continues on his way.

Ellen arrives back to the orphanage. Having thoroughly checked out the fort. She even managed to persuade a couple young men into being her eyes and ears in the fort. It never ceased to amaze her just how effective a pretty face can be on young men. And even certain young women. She notices the strange man, unaware of who he is, and wondering why he pinned Jack to the wall. Brian quickly fills her in on the details of what she missed while she was out. She begins to think deeply, her eyes closed as she began considering her options. Finally she opens them and looks to her associates. Will I suggest you take your friend up on his offer. Could be a good ally. Jack, I think you should stay here at the orphanage. Would be pointless to have you both in the same area. As for you marine, mind telling us your name? And as for the weapons, those will definitely come in handy. We just need more men to be willing to use them to fight for us. My little ones are great messengers, but only the older ones have any decent fighting skills. However I will NOT, put them in harms way. They will remain here to continue keeping guard. As for taking the king prisoner, that will certainly be a difficult task, but I will begin charming the governor even more so then what I have been. Though I think his wife is beginning to grow suspicious of me. I saw her maids following me after I left the fort. Hopefully she Is just suspecting me of an affair and not harboring pirates.

Hes got a point jack You tend to stand out a bit jack. Always looking for action, despite the fact you are a wanted man.

Im going to the plantation, if i can make contact with my armada, I can get them to draw the blockade away from port, so ellen and brian can get out for here. You need to decide if you want to want to get out when that opening comes, I must stay here and try to locate Shadowood. The longer i stay here, the more risk i place on ellen and brian

Jack laughs at the old man as he leaves. And I suggest, you sir, do the same. No man has ever attacked me and lived, no one. And you, sir, are less dangerous to me than the food I just ate. Also, a big gorilla? Are you ranting mad? I only kill when I kill when I have too, I'd say you're the big gorilla, as your angered so much by a relatively reasonable objection to your lies, that you threaten to murder me. I do not smash everything I see, again, I hate your lies mate. What proof do you have?

Ellen laughs softly. You have no need to worry for Brian and me about getting in trouble with the local authorities. I own this orphanage and many of the local guards were once orphans here. As such almost no one ever comes to investigate here, and leave me and the orphans alone. In the event that they do decide to investigate, I would catch wind of it long before a single guard shows up, and I have plenty of places to hide things in this building. But still, you would probably be safer on the plantation. When you leave take a cloak, same with you jack. The 2 decoys in jail will be pointless if they catch you out and about. As for you being an expert on kidnapping nobles, I hope your as good as you think. The king will clearly have quite the escort guarding him, and trying to get a contact in the escort will be difficult even for me. Ellen pulls an orphan aside and whispers to him "I want you to follow a safe distance behind the man with the cane, I wish to know where exactly his plantation is-I think I know which one it is, but I wish to confirm it. don't do anything stupid, and if it looks risky, run back." The orphan says what if the man catches him and decides to kill him. Ellen pats his head, and hands him a flare gun. And in her most motherly voice says softly to him "That man doesn't seem the type to kill a young child, but if you get caught, and think he aims to hurt you, fire this up into the air. And I will rush towards you to help. She plants a kiss on the kids forehead and sends him off. "Be safe little one."

Oh, well the old man said I was not welcome. Which is fine, I'd rather not be anywhere near his filthy plantation anyway. Jack takes a swig of rum.
