There was a glitch there after all.
Based on our logs, all affected players have been reimbursed with 10 turns.

Players that should have found treasure based on their effort, have had their turns prepared reimbursed in FULL. These players are:
#4921
#11685
#16095
#16704

Why do I have a success chance of 80% and yet most of my attempts either fail or empty?

Roll over your mouse every each category to understand what it does.

Generally, unless you are lucky to find a not well-guarded treasure, this feature needs planning and patience. Of course, you will all need some time to find out how it works. It is part of the game.

I guess the part about your chance of finding a treasure is misleading then. I suggest either removing it, or have it actually reflect a more accurate chance percentage.

Because as it is, it is discouraging people as it make it seem that the whole thing is simply a lie.

Why is it misleading?

I think where it perhaps says that the chance of finding NPC treasure is 100% then you fully expect to find some NP treasure. It's perhaps a little unclear that this does not mean this, it means the percentage chance of finding NPC treasure or Player treasure IF you find some treasure

if npc = 100%
player treasure= 0% chance

i understand what it means but still finding nothing
