Role-Play: The Blockade of Regis

Postby Meliva » Wed Dec 27, 2017 1:49 am

This is a new role-play. It is a continuation role-play: The Hair of the Dog Pub - Seaglory
Since the previous Role play has evolved far past Seaglory I feel it is time for a new thread.

it should be orderly and logical and fit with the game.
Rules:
1. When your character is doing something it must be in italics. Use normal words for talking. Also try to add Quotation marks such as " to help show what is talking and not.
2. Your character must fit with the theme of the setting. Your character can be from the previous thread or a independent new character.
3. You may appear as a character on the Invincible, one of the patrol or blockade ships, in the Port, or in a ship unrelated to the others.
4. Try to keep things relatively clean- Slurs are okay to a extent, but try to use pirate ones instead of modern if you wish to use them.
4. The most important rule of all- Have fun.

This is the last 2 posts from the last thread.

Ellen thinks while sipping her rum "Neapolis is out of the questions. I gave that patrol false info that was where Jack was headed-So if they spot us there it would most likely raise suspicion. As for breaking the blockade, all we know is that a blockade exists and its supposedly a large one-we have no info of what ships, or how many there are. And to try to break through without that knowledge and only 2 ships, one of which a cutter would be suicidal."
Brian comes in to deliver some food and rum to the other captains. Ellen thanks him and goes to look at her charts.
I can only think of 2 options at the moment. We could go to Goroum, get some horses and ride there but such a detour would take an extra day, maybe 2 if we are unlucky and we might not make it in time, but perhaps we could trick our way in. I have done some work as a bounty hunter, And I have a few friends in high places in Regis. I could show up with one or both of you as prisoners for a bounty and that I am delivering you to the governor of Regis- The Invincible can stay nearby and be prepared to attack while those of us going in make a plan to attack from the port. Then when the time comes the blockade gets hit from both sides. I leave the choice up to you two. Its your necks on the line after all."
Ellen goes back to drinking her rum and looking at the map while waiting for their answers.

Jack takes a sip of rum. I think the bounty thing is a great idea. But what of me men? What will we do for them? I need more details. Which one of us should be the "captured" man? Or should it be both? Jack drinks more rum.
What exactly will you say to them. How are you going to craft a story about how you in a cutter caught me, in a ship of the line with 100 guns? I think it's an amazing idea, just more planning is needed. Savvy?

Walker steps off the ship coming to the port. His mission is grave as he is charged of finding the lady who carries the severest letters from London and kill her without raising suspicion and dispose of the letters and anyone who knows about it. He walks down the streets away from the port to the Mermaid Tail Inn and walks in.

Ellen smiles and says Well they don't know for sure your even on your Ship of the Line. I could tell them I caught you as a stowaway drunk in the cargo hold. I can very easily convince them of such a tale. As for your men, there is a small reef not too far from Regis. Your ship can hide there and when the signal is given it can quickly arrive to help in a fight. And I should be able to get some acquaintances to help break through the blockade from the inside.

Walker walks up to the bar and sits down on one of the stools. He looks at the innkeeper and says: Rum, room and info.

The Bartender, an old grizzled man looks at Walker, grunts and hands him some Rum "Rum is 1 gold a mug, room is 2 if you don't mind it being complete shite, 3 if you want it a little less shite, and 5 if you want it to be proper. As for info, that all depends how much your willing to spend and what your looking to learn." The man begins cleaning a glass with a rather filthy towel, as one of the barmaids kills a rat and delivers it to the kitchen.

Ellen sighs "Does it really matter how I caught you, but I suppose If I make it more gallant it would make me sound better by association. Very well hows this for a story."
Ellen clears her throat gives a charming smile and says "Me and my crew were sailing to deliver cotton to Regis, When we spotted Jacks ship the Invincible. They didn't notice us surprisingly, probably because they were busy fighting another ship. I recalled the bounty on Jack, so me along with several of my best men, snuck aboard the ship, ambushed Jack and quickly retreated. He fought like the devil himself, and it took my first mate Brian and 3 other men to take him down. We quickly got back to our ship and with our ship being much faster and harder to hit we were long gone before his crew could rescue him.
