Farewell Avonmora

Postby Banger » Tue Nov 21, 2017 11:45 am

I have decided to retire from the high seas. It was been an quite an experience over the last 9 months to be able to learn this game and meet some awesome people. I, however, have not been able to focus on the things that are important in my life nor have I been able to sleep at night because when I do, bad things happen. This has happened to me twice in the last two days. I suffered a similar occurrence a month or so ago and almost quit then. The fact that one cannot sleep in this game without the risk of taking severe losses in a bit disconcerting and frankly, I am tired, like physically exhausted on a daily basis because I constantly sleep with one eye open to try to protect what I have built. I'm a pauper amongst princes, a lot of folks here have deep pockets and can throw money at this game with gives them a very clear upper hand. Due to all of these factors combined, I feel that I must step away from the game. If and when the game addresses the "sleep factor" and depreciates the significance of voodoo perhaps I will return. I put an emphasis on trying to play with big ships and have fun doing it, the fun has run out. So fare thee well Avonmora, I wish you all the best.

Quitting because you can not run big ships? Piracy was built on the strategy of having little to lose or a matter of few ships - Being Frigates. You have done a good job, yes but it was inevitable that your 'big ships' would be targetted. Yes the game has flaws; its been said countless times. Voodoo is a part of the game. You can either counter it, or can't cope with it. If everyone quit due to this - Pirates Glory would be long gone. Not saying you are wrong however just consider what I am saying.

In no offense good sir, now you know somewhat of how 'Merchants' feel when they lose ships to you. :)

True fighters do not quit, they find alternatives.

When they fail, they try harder.

All because you get hit, does not mean you are going the ground. You are experiancing things, learning new things.

Actions have consequences. some people like to seperate the two and attribute the actions to their own skill and the consequences to flows or to other people shortcoming.

dman got an easy one there, probably the one he least wanted to.

lol listen to poopy preach, you chose this route and it has cost you far more than me poopy. You cant bug me and so you target the other little guys around me which shows that you are weak and a coward but by all means please continue as it shows you for the little turd you are. :D Just remember all of this occurred because you got lit up so did you go after the one who did it? Nope you came after me and in return I came after you and that made you pissy even more. and in your pissy state you have way over spent and to what end? Do you think I wont buy more things and catch you slipping and do it again? Lol you are a funny guy. You levied 2 of my ships which I told you before and after you did it, I would return the favor. I did but you couldnt accept being even you feel you need to be one up on me. Well I say to you here I am, my name is not Banger, Lilone, or Monty, I'm right here you little Napoleonic midget and no matter what platform you try to reach my level you will always fall short simply because turds dont grow :D

Dude! We all have lost ports, fleets, game, gold and influence more than you think. You just need to find the right strategy and comfort zone
